Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Experience

was picked up by the driver at 1.30am from my hotel and headed to 1 more pick up to ubud. but putting a 1.85cm guy at the 2 seats behind of a 7 seater was torturing 😄. hike was manageable. a pair of good shoes is necessary as some parts might be slippery. guides were very helpful and friendly. however I dislike that there were locals who are operating the "taxi" service to the slightly higher point of the mountain from the starting point. the exhaust fumes were not something that you would want during a hike. but overall still a good experience! recommend

Dedi is our driver for the trip. He is really responsible for taking care of us! Though he has to drive for whole day, he still spare time to know if we are in need of anything, including of the amount of drinking water. Gede Agustus is the guide who led us to the summit. He would pace accordingly to our pacing for attaining to the top. It is undeniable that walking up to Mount Batur is challenging and exhausting, but the fascinating scenery is fully rewarding! Gede also helped us to take brilliant photos in the Summit, and he knows all the must-go spots. He would lead us to go in advance preventing the crowd.

Mt Batur trek was great. Our guide planned the trek really well and we reached well before the sunrise time. He also took many photos of us. Won't recommend ATV Ride from this Operator as one of the ATV Ride leader didn't know how to behave with a lady which completely ruined our experience.

experience: definitely a good place to trek to but for experienced trekkers, since there’s no proper trail. safety: must wear good trekking shoes, trail is a mix of small rocks and sand, difficulty is for more experienced trekker; trek will take at least 2 hours; trek inclination was too high instructor: agus was his name :) such an experienced trekker and helped us pushed throughout the top equipment: bring trek sticks, water, and jacket it is very cold location: in case of difficulty, there are motor bikers who can carry you up 10-20 mins before the summit; you should haggle and the safest price is at least 250,000 IDR per person note: if you can’t trek, better rent the 4x4 :) THE HOT SPRING IS A GOOD ADD ON I SWEARRRRRRRRRR

This is a challenging hike so please keep that in mind. Our guide was very skilled and even held my hand all the way up and back down the mountain. Although it was tough it was very worth it. I chose to do the hot springs afterward to relax. There were a lot of flies in the area and beetles in the pool which was not my favorite. Afterward was the coffee plantation which I wasn’t expecting but it was nice to try. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Five star experience at the Mt Batur hike! Agus is our amazing driver who picked me up from my resort. Ketut, our wonderful guide, was very patient and helpful! Great views at the top of the mountain. The package also includes Hot Springs which was a nice way to get refreshed after the climb!

It was an amazing experience! At first I thought I’m not gonna be able to make it because it was so steep and I’m not really a sporty person 😂 but apparently it was still an easy hike and I had a lot of fun on my way, meeting other travelers and the view was absolutely worthy!

Our trip was amazing!! Our Mt. Batur tour guide was very patient and he made sure everyone gets to the top and see the sunrise, which was very beautiful!😍we also enjoyed the river rafting and it was so much fun, i think it was the highlight of the trip. 🥰 Thanks to our patient driver, Ale. He texted me the day before to coordinate with us regarding the pick up time. He drove for us from start to finish without any issues. This trip is highly recommended!

We had Wayan as our guide - a wonderful girl, the climb with her was very comfortable and fast. We had relaxed conversations, and she told us many interesting things about Bali and the volcano, as well as took great pictures and videos! Highly recommend!

I booked the sunrise trekking tour along with rice terraces and waterfall. It was amazing. My trekking guide Iketut and I climbed for 3 hours in the dark. it was a brutal hike but he was incredibly supportive & patient. At the top he gave me breakfast. On the way back down I joined the rest of the group & Agus the other guide was also very nice. I have to say that you should deftly book this tour. But be prepared for a really tough hike. At the top the sunrise views were breathtaking. Afterwards my driver took me to a really nice waterfall and rice terrace. All in all amazing day ✨🌟🌅🌋The guides here are very experienced with 30+ years experience so I say dftly book it if your on the edge!
