Things to do in Ishigaki Island

This was a private car booking from Klook, and the overall experience was excellent. From clearing customs to all the day's activities, the driver was very enthusiastic. We visited Kabira Bay, the lighthouse, and the stalactite cave.

The customer service staff and driver were very friendly, and we were able to fully customize our itinerary, even having restaurants booked for us! On the first day, our arrival was delayed, and I was worried we wouldn't have time to eat, so I immediately contacted customer service. They promptly helped us resolve the issue, and we successfully enjoyed the meal we wanted! Highly recommended! The only minor drawback was that the driver only spoke Japanese, which was a bit of a shame.

The attraction has a relaxed atmosphere. The monkeys aren't very friendly and don't like to be touched, and their dismissive gestures are quite amusing. The entire park is a great place to unwind and take it easy.

The ocean in Ishigaki Island is truly beautiful! If you don't have a rental car, I highly recommend joining a local day tour like this one. The driver uses translation software, so even if you don't speak Japanese, communication won't be a problem.

There was a good amount of free time. The monkeys 🐒 were so cute and adorable. We paid extra to feed them. It's a shame we didn't get to ride the glass-bottom boat at Kabira Bay.

The Japanese tour guide was professional and thoughtful, even providing umbrellas when it rained. They translated information about the attractions and the scenery along the way into Chinese, which was truly wonderful.

The equipment was clean and having an English-speaking guide available was excellent! It was a great experience to see sea turtles, even from a distance, and to snorkel in the deep sea, which is usually difficult for families to access. On rainy, windy days with rough waves, the underwater visibility can be poor, making it hard to see fish or corals, which can be a bit disappointing. I recommend choosing a clear day during the good season if possible. Thank you very much, Tatchan!

Many thanks to Coach Isokawa for the patient guidance, which allowed even a non-swimmer like me, who had never snorkeled, to safely enjoy this trip. The underwater coral and various fish were incredibly abundant, and we even saw sea turtles. The coach was very proactive in taking photos for us, highly recommended! (However, those who can't swim should still consider carefully, as safety facilities are relatively limited)
