Things to do in Kyoto Station

An amazing experience. Interactive artworks and installations that evoke emotion, thought, and a sense of wonder. We spent three hours there. The venue itself is well-designed and high-quality, with restrooms and vending machines on every floor. Highly recommended.

we were able to find this shop fairly easily with an A-frame sign at the entrance. The area is a shared space with a few other craft workshops as well. There’s a restroom you can use once you are up the stairs. Elvie was our instructor. She gave very good instructions and demonstrations as well as helped with some finishing touches to our chopsticks. They have several types of wood you can upgrade to ranging from 4000 to 8000 yen. There are 3 types that we got to choose from that were already included with the price. I chose the Taiwan Cypress and my brother chose Hinoki. We opted for the optional laser engraving for an additional 1000 yen and it was well worth it! Such a great experience! a lovely souvenir to take back home. I will for sure be using them!

This was a wonderful and unforgettable trip! Highly recommended for travelers who want to deeply explore the natural scenery around Kyoto and traditional Japanese culture. Visiting Amanohashidate, the Ine Funaya, and Miyama-cho all in one day, each attraction offered completely distinct characteristics. The natural landscape of Amanohashidate was stunning, the Ine Funaya was filled with a serene and charming fishing village vibe, and Miyama-cho's thatched-roof village let us experience the unique charm of traditional Japanese countryside. The entire tour was rich and fulfilling, and being able to appreciate such diverse Japanese scenery all at once was truly worth it! Special thanks to our tour guide today, Theodore Chen! His leadership made the whole journey even more enjoyable and allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of each spot. A great guide really adds so much value to a trip, turning sightseeing into more than just taking photos for check-ins, creating much deeper memories instead. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy Japan's unique natural landscapes, traditional architecture, and rustic rural scenery, I highly recommend this tour! Whether it is your first time visiting Kyoto or you want to explore a different side of it, it is well worth joining.

Great place, they’re super friendly and are accommodating to foreigners and just super nice overall. The girls are super nice. Really recommend it. location: Good Location right at start of the street and in the way up to Gates, next to train station.

this was an awesome experience! so cool to learn about traditional and informal tea ceremonies and to wear kimono! we were also happy to find out we could wear it out for the whole day as well. the team were so friendly and did our hair too! absolutely recommend especially for a first day experience while you wait to check in to your hotel

I had a great day in Kyoto! The itinerary was great and we managed to do and see so many things in one day. All of the activities were amazing and things i wanted to see and it was all really well organised and easy. I went as a solo traveller and if you’re looking for an easy day trip to Kyoto with no stress about transport and creating an itinerary then i highly recommend this tour!!! We had such a wonderful experience on our Amanohashidate and Kyoto day tour from Osaka! Our tour guide, Sarah, was absolutely great. We departed at 8 AM sharp, and she shared interesting information about the city and our destinations, suggested good food spots, and recommended a route to make the most of our visit. Sarah has a pleasant personality and is genuinely fun and funny, which made the trip even more enjoyable! The bus was also very comfortable, and we were able to sleep peacefully on the way to our destination, so we felt well-rested before exploring. Although the destinations were crowded, the lines moved surprisingly quickly, and the views were absolutely majestic and worth the trip! Everything was well-organised, and we genuinely enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting from Osaka and want to explore these beautiful destinations without the stress of planning everything yourself. Sarah was a fantastic guide!

Amazing experience for us family of 4!We had a wonderful time at the Onsen ,you have choices of using the indoor or outdoor jacuzzi ,although we preferred the outdoor open air bath .You have a close encounter with nature and it was such rejuvenating.The facilities is well equipped and there is a nice restaurant serving local sumptuos dishes.We will definitely do it again next time we go back to Japan.

GREAT TOUR! lead by tour guide that can converse in eng chinese and japanese! well versed. the tour journey was definitely worth it. bus ride was 4 hours to and fro. the views were scenic and we get to feed seagulls!
