Things to do in Kyoto Station

this was a good experience:) i didn’t have it planned before hand my original plans changed because of the weather so this was a great alternative option, great price, you can spend as long as you want exploring the exhibits, the team was so kind, and i was also able to book off klook while walking to teamlabs so that was also super nice and convenient, they also had free lockers!!

we were able to find this shop fairly easily with an A-frame sign at the entrance. The area is a shared space with a few other craft workshops as well. There’s a restroom you can use once you are up the stairs. Elvie was our instructor. She gave very good instructions and demonstrations as well as helped with some finishing touches to our chopsticks. They have several types of wood you can upgrade to ranging from 4000 to 8000 yen. There are 3 types that we got to choose from that were already included with the price. I chose the Taiwan Cypress and my brother chose Hinoki. We opted for the optional laser engraving for an additional 1000 yen and it was well worth it! Such a great experience! a lovely souvenir to take back home. I will for sure be using them!

This was the perfect experience for our group, especially since we were traveling with a 5-year-old. We were able to have a private tea ceremony, which made the experience feel even more special and relaxed. We were also about five minutes late, and Airi and Yu were incredibly accommodating and gracious about it, which we really appreciated. We had such a great time learning how to make matcha tea and trying Japanese calligraphy. Airi and Yu were both so welcoming, patient, and kind. Yu even spent time playing with our 5-year-old, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. They also took lots of photos of us afterward in our kimonos, which was such a nice touch and gave us beautiful memories from the experience. Such a fun and memorable way to experience Japanese culture in Kyoto. Highly recommend!

Amazing service and friendly staff members. Really beautiful kimonos and yukatas and lot of varietys to choose from (color, style, pattern), also got to choose pretty purse and comfortable shoes to complete the look!! Great first japanese traditional clothing experience, would recommend 100%.

Amazing experience for us family of 4!We had a wonderful time at the Onsen ,you have choices of using the indoor or outdoor jacuzzi ,although we preferred the outdoor open air bath .You have a close encounter with nature and it was such rejuvenating.The facilities is well equipped and there is a nice restaurant serving local sumptuos dishes.We will definitely do it again next time we go back to Japan.

Our tour guide, Zoya was superb. Fluent communication, experienced and friendly. The entire tour was smooth. The scenery was beautiful, although the weather was not really pleasant, but definitely worth the time and money. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had such a wonderful experience at the pearl bracelet workshop and pearl shopping experience. It turned out to be the perfect activity to escape the rain while creating a special memory together. The staff was incredibly kind and patient, guiding us through the bracelet-making process step by step. Choosing our pearls and designing our own bracelets made the experience feel very personal and unique. The pearl shopping afterward was equally enjoyable, with a beautiful selection to browse and plenty of time to ask questions.

Really enjoyed this tour. We lucked out with multi lingual Charles who was excellent throughout - lots of knowledge and insight, helpful, and good fun. From the 07:45 pick up to drop off the trip was very well run and our driver managed to beat the traffic too giving us more time to explore beautiful Ine Bay. The boat ride was eventful with the seagulls, almost Hitchcockian! The rain came on at Amanohashidate however the views were still good and would definitely recommend the chair lift over the monorail. good value, fun trip, and so good to get out of the noise of Dotonbori for the day.

I had a great day in Kyoto! The itinerary was great and we managed to do and see so many things in one day. All of the activities were amazing and things i wanted to see and it was all really well organised and easy. I went as a solo traveller and if you’re looking for an easy day trip to Kyoto with no stress about transport and creating an itinerary then i highly recommend this tour!!! Our tour guide was great and super helpful and informative. Thank you :))
