Reviews
Great kimono rental experience! The staff was very kind and helpful, and there were many beautiful kimono choices available. The dressing and styling were done professionally, and the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for a memorable experience!
First I need to start by saying that this experience is incorrectly labelled. This only gets you the kimono rental (no tea ceremony, no photography). But we got a great deal on the tea ceremony when we were physically in the shop (and I wasn’t that fussed on a professional photographer anyways). But this was so much fun! We booked a couple and four children - and they really made it a wonderful experience. The tea ceremony was beautiful and very informative and then we had the whole day to explore Kyoto in our kimonos (we had a car so drove to the Bamboo Forrest and the Golden Pavilion to get some excellent photos in our traditional dress).
What a wonderful experience. We booked this as a family! A couple (and then four children separately). The staff were extremely friendly, supportive, polite and professional. I loved that they also did your hair.
All the staff was really kind!! The kimonos are beautiful!! The variety of hairstyles is pretty good and I loved the final result!! You can choose if you want the kimono’s shoes or if you want your own shoes and that is really helpful since if you feel more comfortable wearing your own shoes you can choose to do it!! 💯💯💯
it was great! i had the tea ceremony and the instructor was super nice! everyone working there did there best and made me feel so comfortable, they had beautiful kimonos and everyone was so kimd! i can only recommend this place, i loved it soo soo much!💗💗
We had a wonderful experience with the tea ceremony and matcha making. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and Hiro explained each step clearly and patiently. Making the matcha ourselves was fun and memorable, and we learned a lot about Japanese culture and traditions. The tea was fresh and delicious, and the whole experience felt authentic and peaceful. We added this experience with our kimono rental for an immersive activity. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Japan or interested in trying something unique. 👘🍵
It was a really nice experience, must do once anytime u go to Japan, the teacher was very nice and thoughtful, the ceremony didnt last that long, they gave us details about matcha, and some sweets vere given to us along with matcha.
It's very convenient that the staff speak Chinese, and it's also very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. You can take photos right after changing. We recommend going early to have more styles to choose from.
This experience was truly magical, we were attended to by the instructors with great care and knowledge in Kimono, tea preparation and the customs around sharing tea. The Google maps pin on Klook actually sent us to the wrong branch location but they still hosted us from the different location - we were incredibly grateful for their understanding! We were set up with hair, Kimono, shoes and bags for the complete outfit for the day and some spontaneous singing when we had a shared favourite J-Pop song come on - super fun and lovely service!
It was amazing!! Yoko was really friendly and welcoming!! We loved this experience, you can film all the tea ceremony!! The experience was magnificent and the matcha tastes amazing, it’s indescribable, you definitely need to visit here!!! 💯
