Day Trip to Amanohashidate & Ine no Funaya & Miyama Thatched Village in the Sea of Kyoto (Departure from Osaka or Kyoto)

Our tour guide Steven was amazing. He really knows his stuff and kept the trip light and funny. He also recommended some places to visit and even gave us little treats. super professional and great communication. Definitely book with him. The summer heat made the trip a bit exhausting but stay hydrated and eat lots of ice cream

We had an amazing experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Tina! She was friendly, knowledgeable, organized, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the trip. The destinations were absolutely breathtaking. Ine Funaya was peaceful and picturesque, with its unique waterfront boathouses creating a charming atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Amanohashidate truly lived up to its reputation as one of Japan’s most scenic views. The panoramic scenery was stunning, and the experience of seeing the famous “bridge to heaven” was unforgettable. Finally, Miyama was a beautiful glimpse into traditional rural Japan. Overall, this tour exceeded our expectations. Every destination offered something unique, and Tina made the entire journey informative, fun, and stress-free. Jackson is a very caring and helpful tour guide. I have joined tours in other countries before, but this is the first guide who shared the pickup location and pickup time for every stop through WhatsApp/LINE with a map. It was very convenient and easy to follow. He is also very friendly and always offers to help take photos. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! The tour to Ine Bay and Amanohashidate was incredibly well organised, with breathtaking scenery and plenty of time to enjoy each stop. Every location was absolutely beautiful, and the whole day ran smoothly from start to finish. What truly made this experience unforgettable, though, was our guide, Amy. She was genuinely the best tour guide we could have asked for—so kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. She shared interesting facts throughout the day, kept everything organised, and made everyone feel welcome. Her positive energy and warm personality made the entire trip even more enjoyable. She is an absolute sweetheart and someone who clearly loves what she does. If you’re looking for a day trip from Kyoto, I couldn’t recommend this tour more. Despite the rainy weather, we still had a great time visiting Ine Village, Amanohashidate, and Miyama. Our tour guide, Apple, was very punctual, organized, and kept everything running smoothly throughout the day. A nice bonus was getting to try the local Miyama milk and donut, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommended, even on a rainy day! :)

Amazing day trip and one of the highlights of my Kyoto visit! Ine Village was beautiful and the ferry ride where we fed the seagulls was so much fun. Amanohashidate had stunning views, a scenic chairlift ride, and incredibly blue water. Miyama’s traditional thatched-roof houses were also fascinating to see and offered a completely different side of Japan. A special thanks to our guide, Amy, who was friendly, organized, and went above and beyond throughout the day. She shared interesting information, helped take photos, brought snacks, wrote our names in Japanese, and gave us souvenir stamp cards, which made the experience feel very personal. The tour was excellent value for money considering transportation, guiding, and the number of places covered. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore beyond Kyoto city!
