Kyoto Food tours

Taisho was brilliant! Kept everything super interesting and we tried lots of new things. we experienced places we would never have found alone - brilliant value! Thank you so much for a great evening!

My daughter loved spending time with the pigs who were very cute and playful. the staff were excellent ensuring everyone got to enjoy the experience.

Honey版なら、こんな感じが自然です。 Had such a great time here! Honey was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and he looked amazing! His physique was seriously impressive, and he was so cool during the performance. We had so much fun and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Kyoto!

I joined a small group tour because I wanted a more private experience meeting a Maiko. However, since I was the only guest that day, it turned into a truly private tour, haha. Josh was an excellent guide, fluent in English, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Kyoto. We walked through the Gion district, and he explained the architecture and historical background. Afterward, we moved to a restaurant for a simple meal and drinks. The meal was basic and ordinary, haha. I'd suggest focusing more on meeting the Maiko rather than the meal itself. The Maiko performed a few dances, played games with us, and we even had a personal conversation. She was absolutely lovely!

We took a tour with Yumi-san of the Asahi Group Museum Villa and the Suntory Distillery Museum in Oyamazaki. We were very impressed by Yumi-san's attentiveness and effort; she was very approachable throughout the tour, helping us from the beginning, answering any questions we had, and even accompanying us back to the station. If you're looking for a relaxed plan where you can learn about the history of whisky making in Japan and admire the wonderful artisanal works at the Art Villa Museum, we 100% recommend not missing this tour. We want to emphasize the professionalism of all the staff at the distillery/villa, with special mention of Yumi-san; we couldn't have asked for a better guide.

this was so much fun and very educational. We learned the history of sake and the different types of rice and different types of wine. I’ve had sake before many times but never realized there were so many different types. The 7types of sake we tasted were great and the food pairings were excellent and enhanced the flavor. 90 minutes was the perfect length of time for this session. I highly recommend to others you won’t be disappointed.

Wow moment honestly!! The best tour we've experienced in Japan. Mayo thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and passion. As someone who doesn't really drink alcohol, you put your energy into including me and help me find the style of Nihonshu (sake) I do enjoy. From this moment forward I had the confidence to know what I wanted to read labels in Japan.

This was absolutely the highlight of our Japan trip. Ken was incredibly knowledgeable and informative throughout both the walking tour and during the maiko interaction and show. This was an intimate, up close and personal experience with a maiko accompanied by a delicious meal. Absolutely unforgettable and an amazing and unique experience.

it was a very affordable option to meet a geisha and to have the entire experience with a low budget. The only thing is that in our group there were some people that laughed and talk loud when they should be quiet to hear all the explanation, I really find it very disrespectful not only for the stuff but for the geisha and the rest of the group. the stuff were super patient and very respectful. the Maiko was very professional too, apart of the disrespectful people there, it was a great experience!
