Reviews
We enjoyed our tour and tried many new food items we might not have tried on our own. We highly recommend taking this tour to learn the many varieties of Japanese food and culture.
We had an amazing time with our guide Jasmine, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was great value for money, Jasmine let us choose from a variety of options and we were stuffed by the end.
We had an amazing tour with Vincent. He was knowledgeable in the culture, area, best foods. He was flexible to let use curate the foods we did and did not want to try and he was very easy to have a conversation with. we highly recommend this tour!
We loved this tour! Highly recommend. Our guide was so knowledgeable and introduced us to things we never would have tried. Tofu skin was delicious!
It was a good experience, our guide Maksym Yaroshenko was pleasant and knowledgeable about the market and general info on Kyoto. He tailored our experience to our liking, showing us different food to try. Things that we would have probably missed had he not been there. It is good for first-timers to Japan/Kyoto and want to experience the market without getting ripped off or feeling like they missed out.
we had an awesome time learning and tasting with Katz - what a fun way to experience the market! We bought a few things along the way and brought our daughter back to try even more. Highly recommend!
This was a great way to experience a very busy area. Our guide (Vincent) was very friendly and knowledgeable of the market and customs. 2 hours was a good set up as we were not rushed and could spend extra time at any spot. Highly recommended and would rebook with this service and Vincent again.
guide listened to us and stopped by any additional stops we wanted! sine is the items were just okay but still a good wayto explore!
Eloise was a fantastic guide. she knew the market well. we started out with a tour of a high end grocer before the market which was very helpful in seeing how locals shop and quality of produce. Eloise guided us throough the market, we sampled foods and had great conversation. All wrapped up at a shrine that exists at the end of the market. I can’t say enough. Well worth it.
Vincent was an awesome guide and just generally really fun and knowledgeable. He brought through to several areas and described not just the food, but a lot of the local happenings and a bit of history for the markets and food halls. Highly recommended for those looking to dip their toes in the area AND for those returning/experienced travelers. He also helped me with my Japanese intonations :). Thank you for the experience!!
