We had such an amazing experience during our Kyoto photoshoot. From the beginning, Mr. Kai made us feel comfortable and guided us naturally through every pose, which helped us enjoy the moment instead of worrying about the camera. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful — every shot captured the atmosphere of Kyoto, the details of our outfits, and the emotions of the day perfectly.

During our trip to Kyoto, renting a kimono and having a photoshoot with Kimono Rental Mocomoco truly became one of the highlights of our visit. The photography package is so worth it. after we got changed into our kimonos. you have to walk up towards kiyomizu-dera. it is an uphill street for 10 mins depending how fast you walk. we scheduled for 3pm to get into the rentals and 4pm for the photo shoot. I got dressed under 30 mins, those ladies were FAST. the ladies at the shop gave me his instagram and that’s how we communicated the meet up spot. we met up with our photographer before we got to the top. he took us to a temple near by kiyomizu-deru, less tourist and great for pictures. if you don’t know how to pose, no worries because he will show you exactly how to. he spoke enough English and we got through it without needing google translate. it ended exactly at 1 hour and he even got the pictures back to me next day. I got the 10 edited pictures and 100 raw via email in a zipped file. you’ll have to unzip it to get them. it was 10/10 experience, would recommend.

I had such a warm and wonderful experience there! The kimonos are so stunning. I chose the light crayon lace kimono, and it turned out even better than I expected. The staff were friendly, lovely, and very kind. They even helped me look for my camera that I accidentally left behind and kept it safe until I came back to collect it. Much appreciated 💖

👘✨ Kimono MocoMoco Kyoto — finding the shop is the first adventure! 😂 The sign is quite small and there’s no big kimono banner outside, so keep your eyes peeled! 🔍👀 Once inside, there’s a great selection of kimonos for women, men and kids 👘🎎 with lots of colours and styles. The staff were very friendly, English-speaking, and the service was fast, including the Japanese-style hair styling 💇‍♀️✨ 📍 It’s a little away from the main Kiyomizu-dera photo spots, but still very walkable — and strolling through Kyoto in a kimono is part of the experience! 📸🏯 There isn’t really a waiting area, but they provide a small chair if your partner is choosing a kimono or having their hair done. 🪑😂 Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience with plenty of choices and lovely service. Definitely recommend for a Kyoto kimono day! 👘💖🇯🇵

I chose the premium that came with a kimono and hair and lace accessories it is so worth the extra because once u get there there going to have so many pretty add ons it’s a better deal to get the package . They had so many lace options which I loved all of the staff where very nice. It is very fast pace once u go upstairs to get ready the staff will help u with everything. They also tried there best with translation most staff speak some English

While I enjoyed the experience overall, there was a few things that could have been improved. When we arrived there seemed to be confusion about our booking as it was not on the call sheet in front of the lady and it felt like we got squeezed in. There was a lack of kimono colours which was disappointing but we still managed to find things we liked. The ladies who dressed us were speedy and professional however my mum was wrapped a little too tightly and it hurt around her ribs which dampened the experience for our group. Hairstyling was quick and very beautiful! They accommodated my short hair nicely. The best part of the booking was the photographer named AKB who was able to take pictures of our group, not only instructing us on poses but also providing props and bringing us to different locations in the area. He was efficient, polite and we got the pictures within a day or two via a shared Google Images folder link in WhatsApp. I'd choose to go with a different company next time.

Very good experience, they allow me to loan from 9am-5pm , with nice hair styling! The choices are nice and I love the add on of pearl inner & lace belt. It’s so gorgeous !! They can speak mandarin, very nice！

I had an amazing experience with our photographer. He was kind and very polite he told us what poses to do which helped a lot. We did the 30min session and got some amazing photos.
