highly recommended! it’s not stated here on the app but the onsen offers free shuttle bus to and from the station to the onsen! can easily be seen once outside of Kurama station. lovely experience and great food onsite.

Beautiful journey to get there. Even we get the both indoor and outdoor tickets, I enjoyed the outdoor only. I hope it's more quiet or have a sign to signal 'quiet' at the onsen.

The environment is very comfortable. Today, we experienced a typhoon with heavy rain, which made the outdoor hot springs even more unique. I really love this place. The Anma Mountain hot springs have character, a story, and a great atmosphere. It's so picturesque. Taking my mom up the mountain to experience a forest bath and hot springs was perfect!

Pure magic in the mountains Visiting Kurama Onsen was a truly magical experience. Being surrounded by mountains covered in snow while relaxing in the hot springs felt unreal, like stepping into another world. The contrast between the cold winter air and the warm, soothing water was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and calming. Snow falling quietly around the onsen, the sound of nature, and the mountain scenery create a feeling of complete escape from the city. It’s not just a bath — it’s a deep, almost spiritual experience. Kurama Onsen is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and feel connected to nature. One of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Japan. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for tranquility, beauty, and a truly special onsen experience.
