This place is truly amazing! It's super close to the subway, bus station, and supermarket, all within a five-minute walk, which significantly boosted our travel happiness. Plus, the price is unbeatable – incredible value for money! They even have a large public bath with hot springs, Yakult, popsicles, and ramen, all free of charge. And the breakfast is absolutely delicious! I love this hotel! I highly recommend it to family and friends!

Hotel location: Approximately a 3-minute walk from Nara Station. This hotel offers great value for money, but you can tell it's an older establishment. The room is a bit small, making it hard to fully open luggage. However, it's a nice touch that the TV can connect to Netflix and YouTube.

we had a really excellent time making chopsticks! it was very fun and easy to follow. good balance of independence with giving help, and we could make our own design choices. the laser engraving was an extra fee, as were certain woods.

we had an excellent time - very informative on the history of cedar in the Nara prefecture, chopstick making techniques, and cultural insights. we also got great recommendations on places to eat and visit! our 12yo was very engaged and proud of his chopsticks.

Since it was my first time in Osaka, I didn't do any research beforehand and got a bit lost trying to find my way. I also had a little trouble finding my tickets because I had paper tickets instead of QR codes. I scanned the QR code at the ticket machine, issued the tickets, selected my seats, and received two physical tickets. There's also a counter right next to it where you can get an Icoca card, so minors or those without Apple Pay can handle both at once. They'll issue an Icoca card for 2000 yen.

"We used the Kansai Area Pass (3-Day) for our trip, and it was incredibly convenient and offered amazing value for money! The redemption process was super easy—we just took our e-voucher to the JR West ticket machines in front of Kyoto Station, scanned our passports, and the machine printed our main pass along with vouchers to exchange for Kyoto Subway and 2 other private railway day passes (which are awesome free bonuses included with this pass!).
We fully utilized this pass over the 3 days with a fantastic itinerary:
Day 1: Traveled around the beautiful Lake Biwa area.
Day 2: Explored Kyoto using the complimentary private railway/subway passes, then took a limited express train to Shin-Osaka where we stayed.
Day 3: Traveled out to Rokkomichi Station in Kobe to ride the Rokko Cable and enjoy the stunning night view of Kobe Bay (note: the cable car ticket itself is purchased separately).
Finally, we used the pass to reserve seats on the Haruka to Kansai International Airport.
