Better than expected - in the best way possible. What is offered is exactly what is stated, and more! Very informative! Learnt so much about sumo, its rich history, its purpose, its values. Super entertaining, especially with the crowd interaction!! The presenters were also humorous in their delivery content, keeping us engaged and connected to the experience. So much fun!

We arrived a little early but the staff were so kind and quick to help us! once we set foot into the store, there was a wide variety of options of kimonos in different patterns and fabrics. I ended up paying a little extra for a premium kimono because I loved the color! Putting on the kimono was very thorough, and I was happy with the attention to detail as well as the check in on how comfortable it was! After, I got my hair done, and also picked a premium option. I was so happy with the style and accessories offered! I loved the final product and appearance! I would definitely recommend this shop to a friend!

My daughters wanted to wear kimonos, so after searching, we came to Lei Shinsaibashi. I booked it right away because it had good reviews and was a great value on Klook. The kimonos were so beautiful that my children had a hard time choosing. The accessories, like hair ornaments and shoes, were all lovely, and the makeup area and fitting rooms were spacious and nice. The staff were also very kind and helpful. I'm satisfied and would definitely visit again. I highly recommend it! ^^

Really cool to have custom chopsticks with their names laser engraved. highly recommend for anyone in Osaka!

We had an absolutely amazing day at the Osaka Ring Making Workshop! 💍✨ Yay was our personal guide, and she took an already wonderful experience and made it truly exceptional. Her warmth, patience, and personal attention made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Making our own rings was such a unique and memorable experience, and having Yay guide us through every step made it even more special. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. If you’re visiting Osaka, we highly recommend this experience! Ask for Yay if you can. She made our day unforgettable, and we left with not only beautiful rings but also wonderful memories. Thank you, Yay, for making our experience over the top! Craig and Dee. ❤️

we were able to find this shop fairly easily with an A-frame sign at the entrance. The area is a shared space with a few other craft workshops as well. There’s a restroom you can use once you are up the stairs. Elvie was our instructor. She gave very good instructions and demonstrations as well as helped with some finishing touches to our chopsticks. They have several types of wood you can upgrade to ranging from 4000 to 8000 yen. There are 3 types that we got to choose from that were already included with the price. I chose the Taiwan Cypress and my brother chose Hinoki. We opted for the optional laser engraving for an additional 1000 yen and it was well worth it! Such a great experience! a lovely souvenir to take back home. I will for sure be using them!

What to know before visiting Osaka

What to do in Osaka year-round

Osaka’s strongest draw is its entertainment and sightseeing mix led by Theme parks and Attraction passes, with Observation decks, Historical sites and Museums also regularly booked. Klook booking data show a clear annual rhythm: demand is busier in April around springtime events and noticeably quieter in February. Theme parks dominate family and group itineraries, while passes and observation decks suit visitors who want to pack several sights into a short trip. Decide whether you want festival energy or easier sightseeing: choose peak-season atmosphere or quieter, lower-cost months — Klook booking data help you time it.

When to visit Osaka

April stands out as the busiest month while February is the quietest, according to Klook booking data for a typical year. Prices across the last 12 months drifted: the priciest month in the price series is August and the lowest observed price is in May, so crowds and prices don’t always move together — April is busier without being the priciest, while August is most expensive even though demand is quieter. For fewer crowds and lower typical prices, consider May and February; for festival atmosphere and livelier park days, aim for April.

Month Demand Level Typical Price
January Quieter than usual USD 60
February Quieter than usual USD 61
March About average USD 48
April Busier than usual USD 42
May Busier than usual USD 38
June Busier than usual USD 46
July About average USD 61
August Quieter than usual USD 64
September Quieter than usual USD 56
October About average USD 54
November Busier than usual USD 46
December About average USD 49

Demand is bookings in that month compared with a typical month, from historical Klook booking data, grouped into the demand levels above; typical price is the median paid on Klook in that month; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, July 2025 – June 2026.

Where to stay in Osaka neighborhoods

Hotel prices cluster by district on Klook: Nishi is the most affordable typical option at typically around USD 60 per night, while Kita sits at the top of the range with typically around USD 156 per night. That’s a gap of roughly 62% between the most affordable and the priciest districts, according to Klook booking data. Travelers seeking to save on accommodation often choose the more affordable end for budget flexibility and more spending on activities; those who prefer a higher-end neighborhood and room options tend to pick pricier districts for comfort and convenience.

Tips for travellers from the United States

Most travellers from the United States lock in bookings well ahead: on Klook people typically book about 11 days ahead, with the earliest planners booking around 36 days out, per Klook booking data. That means you should plan in advance for peak-season dates like April, when earlier booking pays off, while you can be more flexible in quieter months such as February and May. Use Klook to compare typical prices and secure popular time slots and passes in advance, but remember that many experiences remain bookable within a couple of weeks if your travel is flexible.
