first time booking hotels through klook. glad it worked out. the hotel and staff are great! literally at the corner there’s a Lawson kobini to withdraw money there’s also another 7/11 down the street. Kyoto station isn’t far which is a plus when getting to other parts. I enjoyed my stay I would definitely book here again.

It was the best hotel we’ve ever been for a two week stay in Japan. You can move the two beds & make it a bigger bed for a family of three. The location is like 5mins away from the train station. Also around than 15- 20mins to Gion & Nishiki location where you can see many shops. You will need a lot of walking but fret not as the cool weather in February is very good. Not so many people in Kyoto as compared to Tokyo. We also managed to rent a kimono & roam around Gion. I spent $180+ for kimono rental + make up + hair. But you can choose a cheaper kimono rental around that will fit your budget.

The prettiest hotel I’ve been in Japan! it’s also bigger than I’ve expected coz my prev hotel was super small. I love that it’s near station, near a lot of food places (walking distance only from a lot of halal food places). their robe was super pretty yet traditional! most importantly there’s Netflix HAHAHA you don’t even need HDMI! other than that there’s hot bath and sauna free for guests. I’ll definitely recommend this place.

I did enjoy my stay at Prince Smart Inn Kyoto Sanjo. The location was unbeatable. The room was really big for Japan standards & that there are windows you can open. The self check-in was quite easy. The free amenities & robes were a great bonus. The shower was really great. It just is a bit apparent that the rooms & some facilities are a bit overused & begin to be a bit well not so clean anymore.

Centrally located and very near the subway (Shijo).
Staff is polite, check-in and check-out was seamless. We could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out for the day.
Hotel and rooms are relatively clean, and more spacious than APA hotels. Amenities are all on the reception level, including pajamas. Breakfast selection was okay, not amazing but featured some "Kyoto-style" dishes.
Tip: If you have luggage, the nearest Shijo Stn exit with lift access is Exit 4. Then it's a very short walk to the hotel.

great newer hotel. close to trains and taxi access. easy to get to Ginza and other spots checking in is easy. restaurant is too western for Americans who prefer a Japanese experience. food was good but service was great! good access to convenience store attached. unfortunately the cashier had a bad attitude and was rude twice. this was my first and only bad experience in all of Japan so far. laundry is available but DONT WASTE TIME as there are too many guests washing and not enough dryers. Ot took 3 hours to do two loads. also, soap-less washers do not clean well. take laundry to laundry automat and spend more time with family and enjoy Japan! Offsite food nearby is limited so eat while you are out in the city. loving this trip and will recommend highly! rooms are more spacious than I expected. modern and stylist throughout. friendliest and helpful staff. I love this place! comfy beds for three adults. might try the breakfast buffet tomorrow but you can eat in your room if you buy breakfast from Family Mart the night before. quick taxi or train to good spots like Ginza. good job Prince!

Hotel was very conveniently located near the gion shijo station and the hotel was very pretty at night! The room was spacious for us to open 3 luggages with ease and also the bed was comfortable with 2 pillows given. The only thing missing is onsen but it's very comfortable stay nonetheless! Would recommend to stay here if you wanna stay around central area of kyoto to explore gion district while being near the train station 👍
