Hotel is far from train stations, though there are two available “near” the hotel. Lot of places to eat. There is a laundromat nearby so even if hotel has only a few units (which is always occupied at night) you can easily do laundry outside. Not an ideal hotel during summer season because of how far it is from the station.

we were transferred to different M’s hotel due to the issue in the room assigned to us. the staff were so nice & kind to help us moved to different branch. they booked our taxis for free & they upgraded our rooms to a bigger corner one with nice view. the new branch location was fantastic! so near to stations & convenience stores. The staff were so nice & accommodating. i love all the experience in that hotel!

great location away from the most touristy areas but lots of food options some wonderful gluten free food nearby at Nicolla. Shopping street around the corner. Very close to Nijo castle. The room was small but a great value and great water pressure in the shower and Japanese bath.

I gave this all 5 stars for the following; location, I like that it’s steps from the Sanjo street shopping. while not as crazy and crowded as the Nishiki street, it’s got a few nice spots to eat and drink. It’s close to the Nijo train station (10 min walk) and 15 to the Randen street car. The hotel for the price works as a place to sleep. it was clean , bidet works, showers hot and good pressure . Rooms are quiet . As a budget hotel, this one works well.

Had a great stay here, location was the big draw card in choosing this hotel in Kyoto. Lots to see within walking distance, its a quieter neighbourhood with some wonderful cafes and restaurants. I appreciated having four pillows to sleep on! Would book here again.
