Things to do in Nagano

Very easy to redeem. The gear works well. The package includes a set of skiing outfit, skiing shoe. Outfit are all pretty, keep us very warm, clean and no smell. The staff were very friendly and helpful ensuring we got the right size. We add on rental of helmet for 2k yen per person and gloves for 550yen.

definitely value for money. the ski shop is near to resort so it’s very convenient. book for January & Feb dates as my chair lift will be opened

Collin was an amazing guide! He is super knowledgeable, accomodating and took us through a beautiful journey of Nagano’s Japanese history and culture. We also covered all of our top spots in this tour and had the best time exploring! highly recommend to anyone travelling first time to Japan and to Nagano.

It was an excellent and fun experience going on the tour. The guides (Dillon and Brett) were very warm and welcoming, always looking out for everyone, making sure that everyone is having an amazing time. Have to give a big thumbs up to Dillon for making the stops very interesting with all the details and stories behind the places, like the sake brewing and temples

The tour guide was very nice, fun, and knowledgeable, which made the long day much more enjoyable. The transfer from the pick-up point to the sites—and back again—takes around 4 to 5 hours in total, so be prepared for a long ride. There is no proper lunch stop, so I highly recommend bringing your own food. There will be quick bathroom and convenience store breaks along the way, so it’s a good idea to buy snacks during those stops to eat on the bus or during breaks. We went on January 2, and it was extremely cold, so make sure to wear the right clothes and dress warmly. You’ll also need to wake up early since the bus departs at 7:00 AM. The two sites are quite far apart, but they are absolutely worth the trip. Just keep in mind that there is a long upward trail hike, so make sure you’re physically fit enough to handle it. It will also take you the entire day, so don't plan for anything else. It was a great experience if you’re prepared for the long day and the cold weather.

Had a fantastic day tour with our friendly tour guide Jens. He was very informative with clear instructions throughout the day which made everything go smoothly. The itinerary wasn't too rushed and the pace suited us well. Bus was large and comfortable. We were able to borrow snow gear prior to 1.5hrs of snow fun at Shiga Kogen. Lunch was great and tasty aswell. The walk to see the snow monkeys was challenging due to the icy track - crampons are a must in winter! Would thoroughly recommend this day tour overall!

We chose the 3 hour afternoon class with the instructor. great to have an instructor with us because it’s our first time here.

Distance between both sites is not short, and having this tour helps a lot for those who may not have a short time in Nagano. Our guide was Shuhei. He was very pleasant and spoke good English, and was patient to accommodate our family in the Snow Monkey Park due to the unexpected heavy snowfall and slippery surface. we were rewarded with a beautiful experience with the monkeys, the photos speak for themselves. He brought us to a soba shop for lunch that served really good soba and tea, followed by a tour to the Tokagushi Shrine. The snowfall made the trees really magical and there was even enough snow for the kids to play. Shuhei brought us to the relevant spots and highlighted the photo points. He accommodated changes to the schedule and we were grateful for this. All in all happy with the tour
