Togakushi Shrine & Snow Monkeys Full-Day Mountain Tour

was initially only looking forward to the Nagano Snow Monkeys portion of the trip but the visit to the shrine was enjoyable too! took many photos.. and loved the walk with surrounding snow. The guide prepared crampons for all of us so the walk was very lovely!

Quite a packed day but it is worth it cause these are the two places that I really wanted to visit. They also provided snow chains for us cause the roads were slippery. Be prepared for a long trail hike to see the snow monkeys. And also take note that the path after Zuishinmon gate is closed from early Jan to mid April due to safety reasons. But the walk to the gate was still breathtaking! Overall a wonderful tour!

If you’re going to pick a seat, don’t pick the seat. There’s a heater underneath and I was very sweaty after the ride. Also, Kyu was nice - 10/10.

last minute book with my boyfriend. first time seeing snow and was provided with shoe spikes that were very helpful especially for the walk up to see the monkeys. He was a good driver and was polite. one pit stop going to first destination, food and bathrooms at first destination, pit stop between monkey park and Tokyo

Although Nagano Prefecture is far (4 hours from Tokyo, plus traffic), seeing the Jigokudani Snow Monkeys and the scenery of Togakushi Shrine is really worth it. Guide Yang was very enthusiastic and dedicated, and I'm glad I met him.

This trip almost perfect, as it really rare daytrip to Nagano from Tokyo combined Togakushi shrine and Snow monkey park in oneday trip. The itinerary is great as both place are amazing and magical especially if you like winter trip . I quite often book trip with klook and this is the first time got bit issue with with the transport and the guide. Meeting time 6:50am , we arrived early at 5:42am and text the guide we arrived with sent pictures our location, no reply. As no information of the car plate so we dont have any clue where to go. We text again 6am as we not receive response. We got reply after our second text and informed car plate mumber to find, but when we found the bus already full so me and my husband seat separately used seat left. Guide seem dont have knowledge with the place as we just get information printed. This trip will be 100% recommended to book , if they can improve their guide.

The tour guide was very nice, fun, and knowledgeable, which made the long day much more enjoyable. The transfer from the pick-up point to the sites—and back again—takes around 4 to 5 hours in total, so be prepared for a long ride. There is no proper lunch stop, so I highly recommend bringing your own food. There will be quick bathroom and convenience store breaks along the way, so it’s a good idea to buy snacks during those stops to eat on the bus or during breaks. We went on January 2, and it was extremely cold, so make sure to wear the right clothes and dress warmly. You’ll also need to wake up early since the bus departs at 7:00 AM. The two sites are quite far apart, but they are absolutely worth the trip. Just keep in mind that there is a long upward trail hike, so make sure you’re physically fit enough to handle it. It will also take you the entire day, so don't plan for anything else. It was a great experience if you’re prepared for the long day and the cold weather.

The tour is greatly recommended because we were able to see 2 famous spots in Nagano in one day, plus this is coming from Tokyo so no need to travel via Shinkansen + Bus. The trip is very laid back, our guide drove carefully and made sure we have pit stops during the 4hour drive. He was also considerate to adjust the schedule (due to getting lost, didnt have enough time to eat, minor accident). We were given clear instructions and provided shoe spikes. He is oalso very friendly and accommodating.

Itinerary: This itinerary requires a 4-hour drive, crossing from Tokyo to Nagano, with a rest stop along the way to buy some food. Although it may be a bit tiring, you can see Togakushi Shrine and the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park in one day, which I think is very worthwhile. Otherwise, I would have to stay overnight in Nagano to get there, and it would be very inconvenient to go on my own. If you also like Togakushi Shrine and Jigokudani, I highly recommend you join this itinerary.

the ride was pleasant and Kyu was very nice and funny. the forests, the shrine and the monkeys were also amazing
