Fantastic 5.0
We stayed at Bakung ubud for 2 days and 1 night. The place was great! however, the facility esp the doors of the hotel rooms can be improved! The hotel seemed pretty old already so hopefully renovations could be done to improve. Overall though, staff were very friendly and made sure we had a good stay. Thank you also for the upgrade of our rooms free of charge!

Fantastic 5.0
It was wonderful. The accommodation was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was a great experience right up to the end. Recommendations: Breakfast (omelet, a must-try), smoothie bowl, swimming (happy hour 2-4 PM for buy one get one free drinks). Not recommended: Massage (external massage shops are much better).

Hotel was good but not satisfied with the booking. I booked premium room paid extra money for garden facing room but didn’t get the room for what I paid for.

More about Ubud hotels

Staying in Ubud: how hotel choice affects your trip

Expect a wide spread between the most affordable rooms and the top-end stays—the priciest options run roughly six times higher than the cheapest. The best balance for value and comfort in Ubud sits in the premium tier, which is where many travellers find the sweetest compromise between price and experience.

How the hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy properties offer the lowest nightly rates and will suit travellers prioritising budget over extras. Standard rooms step up modestly from economy and work well for travellers who want a bit more comfort without a big price jump. The biggest jump in nightly rates comes when moving from premium to luxury, making that the key decision point: premium gives noticeably better value and suits most visitors who want comfort, whereas luxury demands a much higher spend for a markedly more premium experience. Luxury is the top tier for travellers prepared to pay significantly more for elevated accommodation.

When travellers from Malaysia typically book

For travellers from Malaysia, the priciest month is August and the cheapest month is November, so a budget-led trip is best aimed at November when rates are lowest. Rooms are typically booked about three weeks ahead, so if you want flexibility you can wait a short while, but consider locking in plans earlier in the priciest month.
