Fantastic 5.0
We stayed at Bakung ubud for 2 days and 1 night. The place was great! however, the facility esp the doors of the hotel rooms can be improved! The hotel seemed pretty old already so hopefully renovations could be done to improve. Overall though, staff were very friendly and made sure we had a good stay. Thank you also for the upgrade of our rooms free of charge!

Fantastic 5.0
It was wonderful. The accommodation was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was a great experience right up to the end. Recommendations: Breakfast (omelet, a must-try), smoothie bowl, swimming (happy hour 2-4 PM for buy one get one free drinks). Not recommended: Massage (external massage shops are much better).

Hotel was good but not satisfied with the booking. I booked premium room paid extra money for garden facing room but didn’t get the room for what I paid for.

More about Ubud hotels

Overview of staying in Ubud

Staying in Ubud spans a wide price range — roughly a sixfold difference between the most affordable economy options and top-end luxury rooms — so you can pick anything from very budget-friendly stays to noticeably upscale properties. The best balance between cost and comfort tends to be in the premium tier, which represents good value for most travellers.

How the hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy rooms sit at the bottom of the scale and are the most budget-oriented choice, suitable for travellers focused on keeping costs low. Standard rooms step up modestly in price and comfort, appealing to travellers who want a bit more space or quality without a big premium. The premium tier is the recognised sweet spot, offering clearer improvements over standard at a still-reasonable rate and serving as the best value for many visitors. The biggest price jump happens moving from premium to luxury, where rates rise significantly and that step is the major decision point for anyone weighing a splurge versus sticking with premium.

When travellers from the Philippines typically book

Rates are typically lowest in 11月 and highest in 8月; a budget-led trip is best targeted for the cheapest month when nightly rates are notably lower than the priciest month. Rooms are usually booked about 27 days in advance on average, so plans can be kept fairly flexible but consider locking in bookings earlier if travelling in the priciest month.
