The BEST tour we had during our visit to Osaka! 🇯🇵 Jun, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! He made sure everyone was well accommodated throughout the entire tour and went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. He even gave us beautiful postcards as souvenirs! 🥹💕 He also recommended OMG!!!! the BEST restaurants for specific Japanese cuisines (wagyuuu), plus some of the best Japanese snacks and drinks, which were actually REALLY, REALLY good! 🤤 Jun was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely fun to be around. You can really tell that he loves what he does and takes care of his guests like friends. I will 10000% recommend Jun to all my friends and family who visit Osaka in the future. If you’re looking for a tour guide, BOOK WITH JUN! You won’t regret it! 🫶🏼🇯🇵 10000% BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our tour guide was Mr. Gu Wenji. This was my first time joining a one-day tour like this, and it was a great experience. There was no hard selling, just a heartfelt sharing of local Japanese culture. Mr. Gu is very impressive; he speaks multiple languages. When giving explanations, he would repeat them in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, so there was no need to worry about not understanding. I also want to give a special shout-out because the night before, I accidentally left my power bank at a restaurant. Since I don't speak Japanese and didn't have a Japanese phone card, I couldn't call them back. So, I asked Mr. Gu for help, and he was more than happy to assist. He even told me that if I encountered any difficulties in Osaka in the following days, I could contact him. Hearing that was truly heartwarming! If I have the chance to join another tour, I would hope Mr. Gu could be our guide again.

I heard that bus tours can be quite tiring, so I really debated whether to book one. After much thought, I decided to sign up for a tour with a Korean-speaking guide! To cut to the chase, I'm so glad I did! I was a bit worried about the long travel time, but our guide kept us entertained with interesting stories about Japan, as well as explanations of Japanese history and culture that I never knew before. There wasn't a dull moment. What made it even better was that he didn't just give dry explanations; he also shared funny anecdotes and stories throughout the trip, which kept us laughing. Thanks to him, the travel time didn't feel long at all; in fact, the engaging stories made the time fly by! He also recommended delicious convenience store items through a group chat and shared not only popular tourist spots but also authentic local restaurants and hidden gems, which was fantastic. It's often hard to decide where and what to eat when traveling, so having the guide's personal recommendations made it much easier and more trustworthy. Most importantly, the guide was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was wonderful! He kept the conversation lively during the journey and patiently answered all our questions, which made the trip even more enjoyable. If you're hesitant about bus tours because you think they might be tiring, I highly recommend a Korean-speaking guided tour! Listening to the guide's stories made the trip far from boring; instead, I learned so much about Japan that I hadn't known before. This tour was truly memorable, especially for all the laughter we shared thanks to his kind and entertaining explanations. If I travel again, I'd definitely like to try another one of his tours! Thank you for making our trip so fun and comfortable. If you don't meet Korean guide Seokbong Oh, you're truly missing out – he's genuinely amazing! My parents and boyfriend had such a memorable time, and my parents were extremely satisfied, saying they had so much fun. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories. I hope to meet you again on a different tour next time, not just this one. Seokbong Oh is truly the best!!

We boarded the bus in Kyoto, and our tour group consisted of members from various countries. Our guide, Xiao Shen, switched into four-language mode, introducing everything in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. His humorous and engaging style made everyone feel very comfortable. Xiao Shen handled all ticket purchases, coordination, and provided information about the train, Arashiyama route, and meeting points via Line. This allowed us to explore freely and simply meet at the designated time. The driver was excellent, providing a smooth ride that prevented motion sickness, and the seats were clean and comfortable. During the Hozugawa River boat ride, the weather was perfect. Four boatmen guided us downstream, introducing the environment and rock formations with simple animal vocabulary, accompanied by physical interactions and occasional tricks from the boatmen. With a gentle breeze and beautiful scenery, the trip was truly enjoyable.

Great tour of the castle grounds and castle. Mayumi Terayama was our guide and she was excellent. She gave us a history of Japan prior to entering the grounds and then the history of the castle itself. As we were the only ones on the tour she tailored it to what we were interested in. I would definitely recommend!

What to know before visiting Osaka

Osaka at a glance: what travellers book and when

Osaka’s busiest bookings on Klook centre on theme parks, attraction passes and observation decks, with historical sites and museums also popular. Demand rises and falls through the year, peaking in November and dipping in August, so the city sees a clear seasonal rhythm of visitors.

When to visit for crowds and prices

According to Klook booking data, November is the busiest month while August is the quietest. Prices trend down from summer into late year: Klook data shows the priciest period on average in July and the typically cheapest month in December. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for December or the quieter late-summer lull; for the peak-season atmosphere and the highest demand, visit in November. Overall, demand and prices diverge a little in summer—July is one of the priciest months even though the busiest booking spike happens later in the year.

Tips for travellers

Most experiences in Osaka can be arranged flexibly: Klook’s data shows travellers typically book around two weeks ahead, with some early planners booking about six weeks out and last-minute options available a day before. If you prefer to lock in popular theme-park tickets or attraction passes, consider booking sooner rather than later in busy months; otherwise, a spontaneous plan still works.
