Tennoji Zoo Ticket in Osaka

We came here because it was near our accommodation, and for the price and size, the zoo is fantastic. Everyone, from middle schoolers to high schoolers, and even parents, was satisfied. I especially loved how they arranged it so you could see the animals from various angles and viewpoints, and it was great to see the hippos up close. Since we went in the morning, it seemed to be feeding time, so it was nice to see them actively eating and moving around. It was also a great experience to see polar bears and bats. Looking through my photo album, I took so many animal pictures that I felt like a safari documentary director. We made a reservation in advance, so we just scanned the QR code and entered without any waiting. I highly recommend this!

Zoo was easy to navigate and had many different animals to look at. The best part to the experience was that they also had an inside storage locker for bags and food carts for snacks for breaks after your walk. I went during May time so it was nice and warm.

Using the QR code for park entry is very convenient. This historical zoo allows us to get up close and personal with the animals. The polar bear was the most active I've ever seen, constantly playing with the plastic container in the water and loving to dive. It was hard to leave. The penguins there are also very cute, the giraffes are very elegant, and there's even an orangutan who likes to take off its blanket. There are also many different animals. A group of four adults and four middle school students walked around for three hours before leaving to rush to the next activity. It's really worth a visit for animal lovers.

Amazing zoo and for such a cheap price, too. Our kids aged 8 and 5 enjoyed it here a lot. Adults of any age who love animals and being around nature will also have a good time here. Highlight was definitely the red panda 😍

great zoo to visit while in Osaka. very affordable price. lots of different animals to see. it’s best to make a donation if you can for the animals to have better care. some animals look skinny and could benefit from more food.

I decided to go that day, and after placing the order and making the payment, I received the voucher instantly. It felt great to be able to scan the QR code and enter while everyone else was lining up! It takes about 1.5-2 hours to see everything. Many facilities are designed to bring you very close to the animals (but safely), which makes for a wonderful interactive experience. However, when I visited, I wasn't sure if it was due to the weather or something else, but the animals all seemed quite lethargic. Overall, I still don't agree with the concept of keeping animals in captivity, but it seems that Tennoji Zoo has tried its best to prioritize the animals' well-being.

Tennoji Zoo is divided into different animal zones, such as land animals: tigers, rhinos, leopards; flying animals: eagles, parrots; polar animals: polar bears, penguins; and marine animals: ducks. We spent two hours there. We also entered smoothly using the Klook QR code, which was very convenient and fast.

A great place for kids to explore and satisfy their curiosity about animals! You can combine a half-day visit here with a trip to Tsutenkaku Tower for lunch!
