How to buy your Universal Studios Japan tickets on Klook?

Step 1: Go to the Universal Studios Japan Studio Pass page on Klook

You can type 'Universal Studios Japan' into the search bar on the Klook website or mobile app. You can also find the Universal Studios Japan product page by going to Explore Destinations > East Asia > Japan > Osaka Prefecture.

Step 2: Check the calendar for the date you’re visiting

Universal Studios Japan Ticket guide - Klook USJ Booking Page 2024
On the USJ Studios Japan product page, click the 'Check availability' button and select your desired date of visit. You will then be able to select the types of USJ Studio Passes packages available for that day.

Why are there different prices for USJ Studio Passes?

    USJ The Flying Dinosaur
The USJ Studio Passes are priced based on the different seasonalities - A/B/C/D/E/F - each with a corresponding selling price. A is the cheapest, while F represents the busiest period and hence will be the most pricey.
On Klook, the prices will automatically reflect the correct pass type required for the date you have selected.

Where can I find the Universal Studios Japan Studio Pass price calendar?

    [US] USJ Ticket Price Guide
You can also find the official price calendar on the Universal Studios Japan website. Look for the date you’re visiting the theme park to determine which ticket category you need to purchase.
For example, if you’re planning to visit on Monday, on the 24th, the calendar indicates ‘E’, hence the price reflected will be that of the 'E' pass to enter the park on that day. The price calendars are released up to 2 months in advance.
Klook Tip: We understand that your travel plans might change. Fret not, your USJ Studio Pass is valid for 90 days from the selected date of visit. You may use it for any dates displayed on the calendar corresponding with your pass type A/B/C/D/E/F.
For example, you booked your ticket for 29 May 2025 (Pass type C), but decided not to go due to poor weather. You can still visit USJ on another Pass type C day, eg. 30 or 31 May 2025 — no additional reservation required!

Step 3: Select your tickets and add them to cart

    USJ Yoshi's Adventure
Once you’ve confirmed your date, decide on the duration that suits you: a 1-Day, 1.5-Day, or 2-Day Studio Pass. If you want to pack more in, the following bundles are also available on Klook:
Klook Tip: An Area Timed Entry Ticket is necessary to enter Super Nintendo World. You may get one after entering the park via the USJ App [Apple Store | Google Play] or at the Park Ticket kiosk at Central Park. It is also included in selected USJ Express Passes, read on for more details.

Now that you’ve already determined which ticket or bundle you want to purchase, select your ticket category, intended date of visit, and desired quantity then add to cart!

Step 4: Pay for your ticket

    USJ Yoshi's Adventure
Klook accepts major credit and debit cards, as well as a range of e-wallets and other payment methods. Once you’ve reviewed your cart, complete your payment to secure your booking.

Step 5: Enter Universal Studios Japan directly with your Klook e-ticket!

No need to print tickets, you only need your phone and USJ e-ticket to enter the park!
After payment, you’ll receive an order summary by email. Once your booking is confirmed, a second email will arrive with your e-ticket. You can use this directly from your Klook app or email to scan in at the gate, no printing required!

Should I get the Universal Studios Japan Express Pass?

If you're trying to hop on as many rides as possible when visiting the theme park, then you may want to consider getting a 1.5-Day or 2-Day Studio Pass. You can also buy an additional Express Pass to help you skip the queues!
Klook has four USJ Express Pass options for you:
    • Universal Studios Japan Express Pass 4 – allows you to skip the lines of four rides
    • Universal Studios Japan Express Pass 5 – allows you to skip the lines of five rides
    • Universal Studios Japan Express Pass 7 – allows you to skip the lines of seven rides
    • Universal Studios Japan Express Pass 8 – allows you to skip the lines of eight rides
Klook Tip: Remember! A Universal Express Pass does not include entry to USJ. You'll still need a Studio Pass on top of the Express Pass.

Which Universal Studios Japan Express Pass should I get?

    USJ Express Pass
There are different variations of the Universal Express Pass 4, 5, 7, and 8 that bundle up different top rides and attractions together. Here’s a breakdown of the 3 most popular passes right now:

How to buy an Express Pass for Universal Studios Japan?

If you want to skip the queues on USJ’s most popular rides, an Express Pass is well worth the extra spend, particularly during busy periods. Here’s how to buy one:
    1. Add your Studio Pass to your cart first. The Express Pass is an add-on, not a replacement for park entry.
    2. Search for “USJ Express Pass” on Klook or find it alongside the Studio Pass product.
    3. Choose the tier that covers the rides you want to prioritise.
    4. Select your preferred timeslots — Klook lets you pick when you use the pass for time-designated attractions.
    5. Complete your purchase and receive your e-ticket.
Klook Tip: Express Passes are released mid-month for the following month. They sell out fast, especially for Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Set a reminder so you don’t miss the release date!
USJ Express Pass Timeslot Selection on Klook

Why do Express Pass timeslots matter?

Each Express Pass assigns you a specific time window per ride. For example, if your Spider-Man slot runs from 10:40 to 11:10 AM, you’ll need to arrive at that attraction within that window to use your skip-the-queue benefit.
Klook now lets you select your preferred timeslots at the point of booking, useful for planning your day around the attractions you most want to hit!

FAQs about the Universal Studios Japan tickets

Do I need to book in advance for Universal Studios Japan?

Yes, especially for popular dates and Express Passes. USJ stopped selling tickets at the gates in May 2025, so everything now needs to be booked online. Express Passes and Super Nintendo World timed-entry slots sell out fastest, so book as soon as your date is released. Tickets go on sale up to 2 months in advance.

What if I can't visit Universal Studios Japan on the date I chose?

No problem, your Studio Pass is valid for 90 days from your selected date, and you can use it on any other day with the same price tier, no rebooking needed. For example, a ticket booked for 20 August 2026 (Pass type C) can also be used on 23 August 2026, since it's also a Pass type C day.

I don't know which ticket category to purchase because the date I want to visit isn't on the calendar.

USJ releases ticket dates 60 days in advance, one new date per day at midnight (GMT+8). If your date isn't listed yet, check back closer to your visit.

When will the USJ Express Passes be made available?

Express Passes for a given month usually go on sale in the middle of the month before (e.g., mid-September for November passes). The exact date can vary, so check Klook's social media for updates, since popular passes sell out fast.

If I buy the most expensive ticket, can I use it on any day?

No. You can only enter on days that match your ticket's price tier. A Pass F ticket won't work on an A, B, C, D, or E day.

Do I need to print a ticket for the USJ?

No, just show the e-ticket on your Klook app or email at the gate.

How early should I get to USJ?

Arrive about an hour before opening to beat the crowds. Read our USJ top tips guide to make the most of your day at the park!
Do Universal Studios Japan tickets sell out?
Yes, especially Express Passes and Super Nintendo World timed-entry packages, which can sell out within hours on peak dates (weekends, holidays, Halloween, Christmas). Book as soon as your date's calendar opens to secure your ticket.
