Tristant, our tour guide, was very accommodating, helpful, and easy to be with. He always gave great suggestions and shared the best Taiwanese recommendations with us. He was also lively and energetic while making sure everyone stayed on time. Overall, we had a great experience! The places were wonderful, and we were blessed to have good weather. Just remember to bring water and an umbrella, especially on extremely hot days.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience on our Yehliu Geopark, Tiaoshi, Shifen, and Jiufen tour! Everything was well-organized, and we were able to visit all the beautiful spots without feeling too rushed. Our tour guide, Ivy, was amazing! She was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating throughout the whole trip. She also gave us useful information about each place and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the tour. 🥰 The itinerary was definitely worth it, especially for first-time visitors to Taiwan. We got to see the beautiful Yehliu rock formations, enjoy the scenery in Tiaoshi, experience Shifen, and explore the charming streets of Jiufen. Thank you, Ivy, for making our Taiwan trip even more memorable! 💕 Highly recommended this Klook tour, especially if you want to explore these places conveniently in one day! 🇹🇼✨

Fantastic 5.0
Sunny and Brother Bear were both wonderful; they took great care of us throughout the trip and were enthusiastic and lively. As a student from mainland China studying in Hong Kong, I found the one-day group tour in Taiwan to be very well-organized. Before we even started, they covered safety precautions, the day's itinerary, important notes, and a detailed breakdown of costs. They also adjusted the schedule promptly based on weather and road conditions. They even arranged a group pre-order for milk tea and other drinks before we arrived at the scorching hot Yehliu. Our first stop was Yehliu, and it was incredibly sunny and hot, but we were so lucky because the sea and sky were an unbelievably vibrant blue – absolutely stunning! The sea and the rock formations are individually top-notch, but together they create a unique beauty. Afterward, we went to Shifen, where Sunny explained how Taiwan addresses the environmental pollution caused by sky lanterns, mentioning a government-backed recycling incentive program, which was fascinating. Jiufen Old Street is essentially a commercial and snack street, but what makes it unique are the genuinely delicious local foods and the beautiful sea, mountain, and Chenghuang Temple views (near Jiufen Elementary School) that you get after climbing the steps to the top. I don't recommend eating right when you enter; the grilled sausage and chocolate cake were quite ordinary. I sampled many things along the way: nougat crackers, pineapple cakes, purple-skinned peanuts, ginger sugar water, and more. The ba-wan (meatball) was pretty good; the pork seasoning was fragrant, the glutinous rice skin was easy to chew, and the bamboo shoots inside were the perfect touch. Later, a Taiwanese auntie from our group gave me a savory radish cake that she particularly loved, and it was incredibly delicious! The ice cream spring roll was decent; my fellow travelers and I gave it a passing grade. Our group had amazing luck with the weather; a torrential downpour started right after we finished our Jiufen itinerary and boarded the bus. Finally, we did a DIY pineapple cake activity and sampled many varieties. The biggest takeaway from this trip was meeting many interesting people; all my fellow travelers were great, and the experience was superb. I recommend everyone in the world visit Taipei!

The tour fee was affordable and definitely worth it. I didn’t feel tired during the trip because everything was well-organized and enjoyable. The places we visited were all amazing, especially the Yilan Traditional Arts Center performances, Kavalan Distillery, and Jiaoxi. I enjoyed everything so much. We also got discounts when buying products at the Kavalan store, which made the experience even better.

I had such a wonderful experience on the Jiufen tour, and a big part of it was because of our amazing tour guide, Franny! She was so friendly, bubbly, and helpful throughout the whole trip. She shared interesting information about Jiufen and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating she was. Thank you, Franny, for making my first Jiufen experience so memorable! I highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re visiting Taiwan for the first time. 💕🇹🇼

Had such a great experience on the tour! I was able to book it at the last minute, just one day before the tour, and everything still went smoothly. Kate, our tour guide, was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. She made the tour fun and comfortable, and was always happy to help and answer our questions. Really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a hassle-free way to explore Taichung. 💗

It was a group tour of nine people, and the driver was excellent. Because I was very busy with work, I didn't check my email, so he might have mistakenly thought I wasn't a Chinese speaker. He asked for my contact information in both languages, which was very responsible of him. At each scenic spot, he sent explanations to the group chat, so we never felt lost about what to do. Unfortunately, there was a heavy downpour in the afternoon, and it felt like the sky lanterns wouldn't be able to fly, so we didn't release them. We also skipped the Shifen Waterfall itinerary because our shoes were already soaked in Shifen Old Street, and we felt we would get completely drenched if we went down to the waterfall. Regret can also be a kind of beauty, and I'll recommend this to friends if I get the chance.

What to know before visiting Taipei

Quick overview of Taipei’s visitor rhythm

Taipei’s Klook bookings are driven by events & shows, tours and massages, with notable interest in observation decks and museums. Demand peaks in April and dips through late summer, so the city’s year has a busy spring and a quieter late-summer to autumn stretch.

When to visit for crowds and prices

According to Klook booking data, April is the busiest month while August is the quietest. Prices move separately from demand: they peak in July and fall to their lowest in February, so the most expensive month by past Klook prices is not the busiest month by bookings. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in August to October for lighter demand and generally lower activity bookings; for peak-season atmosphere choose April when events and tours are at their busiest.

Tips for travellers

Most experiences in Taipei can be booked shortly before travel: Klook data shows typical bookings happen around 2 days in advance, with last-minute options available and some travellers booking up to about two weeks early. Be flexible—you can often secure tickets and tours a day or two out—while remembering that during April demand rises and popular activities may fill sooner.
