Things to do in Yamanashi Prefecture

Yutaro was one of the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Knowledgeable with the scenic spots and was able to deliver what we’ve expected. He has this favourite ice cream shop that he always talked about and we were able to try which is one of the best ice cream in Japan.

We booked this as a family of three. That's our second trip to Japan and wanted some help to get to Lake Kawaguchi and doing sightseeing around Mont Fuji. The guide has been extremely helpful and friendly the whole day. We were lucky to have a clear sky to enjoy the amazing Mt Fuji view. Highly recommended experience.

Captain Jack was amazing! He spoke both English and Mandarin (with ocassional Japanese) without missing a beat. 双语切换自如。He also helped to take photos. There was a jam so a lot of places were cut short and we skipped lunch entirely. I think the itinerary might still be a little too rushed even without the jam. But definitely still glad to visit many places in a day! One other comment, at the gathering point in the morning before the tour, it was quite hard to locate the assigned guide in the crowd. Would have been easier if the flag number was given.

The tour is very good and the guide (zoe) waa very kind, knowledgeable and shared a lot of inputs during the travel. would definitely recommend all to visit MT Fuji using their services, also the food and the options were. fantastic.

Wow!! What a wonderful experience. I'm Mexican, I came alone, my English level is less than basic and even so Mila (the guide) was very patient with me and helped me with everything I needed. She was always available on Whatsapp and sent clear and precise instructions. You can definitely tell she loves her job. Thank you for everything, I will recommend the tour and obviously Mila. Regarding whether or not you will see Mount Fuji, the truth is it's a coin toss. I took the tour on February 20th and despite it saying it would be cloudy, it showed itself all morning until 1 pm. Take that into account because seeing Mount Fuji was the only reason I took the tour, if I hadn't seen it I would honestly be angry, not because of the organization, but because of the weather which I can't control hahaha

Good service, good Guide women by K. Zoe that helpful and explain all details of any places but she fast speak a bit. However everyone on time in every places that I am very impressed and recommended in this tour programme.

Today I was so lucky that the sky was clear, allowing me to see Mount Fuji clearly. Everything was worth the trip; it was perfect and I had so much fun I'll never forget today. I'm so glad I had an English guide named “Yuri-san”🌸💕 Thank you so much!

It will be held during ButterBear 🧈🐻collaboration period in the first half of 2026. This is the only place in Japan where you can experience ButterBear, so I highly recommend it. There are also many thrilling rides, and it's the only place in the world where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji!🗻

Ropeway/cable car starts at 8.30 and it's worth getting there early to beat the long lines caused by tour groups who started arriving around 9.30am. Views as you move up the ropeway were breath taking. A beautiful clear day with spectacular views across the lake and surrounding areas. Once you are at the top there are multiple areas to view and photograph Mt Fuji (and you can never get enough photos of Fujisan can you?). There is also a shrine, tori gates, souvenir shop, toilets, postbox, snacks, ice cream etc. and giant swing= 500 Yen per person , not included in ticket price but great fun! Lots of photo ops and if you want a professional photographer (if you want and extra cost). Great value and i can only imagine what it would look like in spring (blossom time). The great thing about going on this in winter are the crystal clear skies and much greater chance of Fuji 'not being shy'. Recommend with an early start!
