Reviews
Our guide, Xiao Zhou, is a very enthusiastic and kind person from Northeast China. Traveling during the off-season meant the overall pace of the trip was just right. The driver was a kind-looking Japanese gentleman. Shikisai-no-oka in early October didn't have lavender, but the undulating flower fields combined with the clear sky were still stunning. Farm Tomita in Furano was slightly less impressive without the lavender, but there were many lavender-related souvenirs. On the way back, the guide mentioned that traffic can be unpredictable in Hokkaido during winter snowfalls, with long traffic jams, driver fatigue, and a higher risk of accidents. As someone who prefers traditional Chinese wellness practices, I find sitting for long periods uncomfortable. I hope the company can pay more attention to the issue of fatigue and the well-being of elderly drivers. I was the only person from mainland China among the 11 people on the day trip, which was similar to my experience in Kyushu in May. Everyone else was young.
Katherine is enthusiastic about service, can introduce information in multiple languages, and also introduces many geographical features and people. I recommend the corn from Saigaoka. The white corn is much sweeter than Taiwanese corn, while the yellow corn is the sweetest corn I have ever tasted. In comparison, the white corn is moderately sweet. I recommend everyone to buy it and try it. The cantaloupe ice cream is also recommended and is also very good. Lunch is a buffet. Fried pumpkin, pan-fried scallops, corn soup, and puffs are delicious. Genghis Khan barbecue takes a while to cook. If you want to make a lavender pillow, don't worry about it taking a long time. It takes about 5 minutes and is very simple. Just spread out the cotton, put in the lavender seeds, and put it into the devil's sticky pillow. The lavender ice cream is also very small, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to finish it.
Thank you so much Catherine! She was a great tour guide. She was always willing to help. She also shared a lot of information, not just about the places where we went but also on Hokkaido as well. Where to eat the best ramen, where to buy fruits, what to see on other places, etc. Unlike other tourist guides who explains a lot in Chinese language then 1-2 sentences in English, Catherine explained everything in English and Chinese language. She also assisted us in the buffet. Made our trip worth it!
Tour guide Ms. Catherine is really good and professional! She managed the time well and share a lot of knowledge about Japan & Hokkaido history, scenic spots, food and souvenirs. She speaks English, mandarin, Japanese and Cantonese. We managed to have the time to make lavender pillow and eat lavender ice cream. Blue pond, Shikisai no oka and lavender Tomita farm was so beautiful . This spot is highly recommended for summer travel in Hokkaido. We paid extra tickets for alpaca farm ¥500 for adult and ¥300 for child and my daughter loved it so much.
The tour is exceptional. My group caused a delay but we were still able to go to all of the places — time was shortened though for each places. The tour guide is chinese speaking. Although there were two other guides who speak English, but please know that language barriers may be a difficulty. I love how kind the woman is who went with me to go to our hotel. I wish I knew her name.
What a fun and fulfilling day! Many thanks to our guide, Sakura-chan! She was so "genki" (energetic) and patient with both pick-up/drop-off and explanations – she felt like a good friend to everyone. She repeated important information multiple times in different languages to ensure every tourist understood, and she shared many interesting stories and anecdotes that made the drive less boring. Knowing I was traveling alone, she took extra care of me, which I really appreciated! The driver was also very polite and professional, drove smoothly, and was very punctual. I'm so glad I booked this tour. I was able to safely and effortlessly experience the beautiful scenery of Furano. It was well worth the trip!
The flowers are beautiful, even though they're only 60% in bloom. The colors are stunning. The tour included food, which was okay. We participated in a lavender pillow activity and each got one pillow – they smell amazing! Free ice cream was included, which was great. I recommend this tour.
The one-way drive from Sapporo to Furano takes about 2.5 hours, and you will rest at a rest stop for 10 minutes. Although the drive takes up half of the time, it is very worthwhile to see the beautiful flower fields of Shikisai Hills. The blue pond is also beautiful. In comparison, there is no lavender. Tomita Farm in the flower field is less interesting to see. The lunch buffet doesn't have many dishes, but it's enough. The itinerary includes the Sainooka tractor ride and buffet, ice cream, and DIY lavender pillows, as well as must-see attractions, with high CP value.
this is a really great tour. you will get to experience all the must see places in just one day. the guide shares best practices to ensure everyone will be on time.
The tour guide Catherine is really great. The explanation is very detailed and will tell you a lot about Hokkaido. After a few hours of driving, everyone would take a nap when they were tired. Catherine would give her a gentle binbong every time she called for wake-up call. She was super sweet and cute. Highly recommend this place. Although I can speak Chinese, I am the only Japanese in the car, and Catherine will always explain in Japanese. Thank you very much! まだ行きますね!ありがとうございました! (The scenery is also very bad)
