Reviews
Japanese tours are very organized! they will chat you ahead of time with itinerary details. our guide, Kevin, chats our next itinerary & meet up point. he has his own camera that he takes photo of us. if you want sceneric view and relax mode, this is the best, except hiking in the morning so wear comfy shoes.haha. we did not do the cruise, it is a good choice since you cannot explore shopping stores if you did this. one flaw, the end time is 6PM but was on city by 5P, nonetheless, this tour is a must have in sapporo.
This time, I participated in the Hokkaido One-Day Tour (Otaru, Cape Kamui, Shiroi Koibito Park) through KLOOK, and the overall experience was excellent; I had a wonderful time! Otaru's streets are full of nostalgic charm, perfect for a leisurely stroll and enjoying local delicacies. Cape Kamui offers spectacular views where the sea and sky merge, making it well worth a visit. Shiroi Koibito Park, with its fairytale-like atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, is ideal for taking photos. A special thank you goes to our tour guide, Xiao Hong, for her exceptional service, attentiveness, and professionalism. At each attraction, she clearly reminded everyone of the meeting time and location and provided clear explanations, ensuring that no one missed any part of the itinerary. This made us feel very secure. She also took great care of everyone's needs throughout the trip, which is highly commendable. Although the planned boat trip was canceled due to strong winds and rough seas on that day, which was a bit disappointing, it was understandable given the safety considerations. Fortunately, the rest of the attractions and itinerary proceeded smoothly and did not affect the overall travel experience. Overall, it was a well-organized, relaxing, and enjoyable one-day tour with a professional and responsible guide and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!
sunny was very helpful and knowledgeable. very pleasant day. lots of good inputs both for this trip and great eating options in sapporo. also gave all the flexibility we could have asked for. the bus ride was also comfortable. its a smallish mini van
I had a wonderful experience on this tour and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and welcomed throughout the journey. The highlight of the tour for me was the boat ride to the Blue Cave. Although we were only able to view the cave from the outside, the scenery was stunning and the experience was still unforgettable. Feeding the seagulls during the boat ride was such a unique and fun experience. Mr. Hong and Mr. Kevin are our tour guide. Both were kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. I especially appreciated how Mr. Hong shared valuable information about Hokkaido, including its local specialties and products. His insights added an educational aspect to the trip and helped me learn more about the region. Overall, it was a fantastic tour, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hokkaido. Thank you, Mr. Hong and Mr. Kevin, for making this such a memorable experience!
I had an awesome time during this solo trip! Everything was well planned out and got to see many things I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Shout out to Kevin our bus attendant, he was super friendly, professional, and very informative about the history of each place we visited!
Our tour guide Triple Stone was amazing!! he shares so many details and history about Hokkaido which I truly appreciate. it shows that he knows so much about this beautiful place and is passionate for what he does. the self guided tour was great! too bad the weather wasn’t too great when we visited cape kamui. the winds were too strong and I felt that we would get blown over the cliff if we walked too far. I wished they gave an alternative rather than waste all that time there in the cold. we stayed in the bus most of that stop. the weather for the rest of the areas we explored was perfect. we enjoyed otaru canal! the food was incredible! the fresh Hokkaido ice cream was my fav esp the Hokkaido curry soup! shiroi kobito was a fun time!! we loved the desserts but I think the ice cream from the areas in Otaru canal were more rich and creamy. overall amazing experience!! would recommend going on a sunny day ☀️ thank you so much for this experience!
Thanks Klook for offering affordable tours, this is my first time using Klook and will definitely use it again as my experience with Klook is great! The reminder message received from or guide Ms Lily Lee before the tour has set my heart at ease. My husband and I enjoyed the entire 1-day Hokkiado Cape Kamui, Otaru, tour led by a very friendly, knowledgeable & bubbly guide Lily. Her information and announcements were very clear both in English and Chinese (she could speak Japanese fluently too). Her smiling & happy face made me feel happy too! She is attentive and helpful, giving us lots of tips and guidance, thanks Lily💕Hope we‘ll meet again!
The Chinese-speaking guide arrived early and I met them without issue. It was fascinating and fun to hear them speak Chinese, Japanese, and English interchangeably. Also, this tour being a multinational one, riding in a small van with people from China, the Philippines, India, and Korea was special and created memorable moments. The detailed and fun explanations about Shakotan Blue, Otaru Canal, and Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory made the day tour enjoyable from beginning to end. Shakotan Blue and Cape Kamui, befitting the northernmost region, gave a feeling of being overwhelmed by the rough and magnificent vast nature. In that moment, all worries and anxieties disappeared, and even as the raindrops grew thicker, the path to the summit was so magnificent that getting rained on didn't matter at all. The stunning sea and cliffs, and other natural wonders, the swaying reed fields – lying down together and swaying together in the reed field!!! Afterwards, even though the weather became even more stormy with rain and wind, the Otaru Canal was even more charming after the rain. I wondered if this was the feeling of the surprisingly modern opening period? It felt like going back to the past, the beginning of industry here – Romantic City – the Romantic City that the guide emphasized was a perfect description. It was good that we were given 3 hours there, and it was also great that there was a large duty-free shop where we could choose from a wide variety of souvenirs. And finally, the Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory was a charming, pretty, and fun place full of European style. Also, the driver was very kind, which was great. I came to Sapporo, but I am grateful to have seen such wonderful outskirts and to have experienced the blessings of the sea, reeds, wind, and clouds. I already miss it.
Such an amazing experience! The guide (Arafat) made the tour super fun and I loved discovering hidden spots I wouldn't have found on my own. Especially the part where you fed the seagulls, it was so unforgettae. Highly recommended for travellers seeking an authentic and memorable experience.😍
Allen (the tour guide) was brilliant. He was clear with instructions as well as giving some history of the places we were going to. He spoke in both Chinese and English to ensure all guests were attended for. Thank you for a brilliant day tour. We had a great time! A note for those booking, we choose not to go on the cruise which gave us 3 hours to spend exploring in Otaru. We had lunch; went to the glass museum and shops; checked out Miffy shop and snoopy cafe; had ice cream in Ryugetso. Co & picked up 2 pieces of cheesecake from LeTAO! I think those who had the river cruise meant they had less time to explore the town so it’s up to you what you’d like to choose🙂
Good to know
Due to recent rockfalls in the Blue Cave, our cruise ship will no longer enter the cave itself, and can only tour around the periphery of the Blue Cave.
