Bus tours are perfect for independent travel with seniors, as they can sleep on the bus and take photos when they get off. We booked a Chinese tour but got an English tour, but the excitement wasn't diminished. However, the seniors and children couldn't understand the explanation. But the friendly tour leader, Omar, took great care of every member of the group and enthusiastically greeted and chatted with the children! The tour leader was diligent in his work, his explanations on the bus were relaxed and natural, and he also kindly helped us find specific souvenirs! At Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, you can pay 2000 yen to rent a kimono for photos, and the children looked very cute in them.
We came in September and took this chance to do at least a tour to see Mt Fuji but; unfortunately, she did not show. It was still a pleasant tour visiting a shrine, a billage of old japanese dwellings and the lunch tasted so good!!! Our tourist guide Mitch was very friendly, and such a great host! Our bus driver was a very good driver, smooth sailing! The other tour guide, Yo was a good complement to Mitch to help assis her in the process
First of all, thank you to the Korean-speaking guide who showed us around Lake Kawaguchiko~~ You may or may not know this, but it's not easy to see Mount Fuji in the summer. If you search for "Mount Fuji Live" on YouTube, you can see if Mount Fuji is currently visible. I had been watching Mount Fuji Live for a week before going, and it never appeared, lol. So, I went without expecting to see Mount Fuji in the first place. Although I didn't see Mount Fuji, I enjoyed the natural scenery and beautiful lakes that you can't see in Tokyo, and a certain rustic charm, lol. It felt like visiting Kyoto as a day trip from Osaka. Even if you can't see Mount Fuji, it's still a healing experience. If you really want to see Mount Fuji, spring or autumn is best. I recommend looking up restaurants for lunch in advance. Tourist prices don't necessarily reflect the quality of the food, lol... If you don't speak Japanese and are hesitant to choose a tour, be sure to book a tour with a Korean-speaking guide. Our cute guide kindly explained Japanese culture (myths related to Mount Fuji), shrine etiquette, the difference between temples and shrines, etc., at each location. A bus tour will probably be much more convenient than going on your own (convenience + cost). If you're going to take a tour, it's a great tip to book accommodation around Shinjuku!
My second time with Yuki (tour guide) and her company is highly recommended. Yuki is very accommodating to all our questions and even went out of her way helping a family of tourists in carrying their baby around while parents are getting the stroller at the bus’ compartment. Also, she speaks good english, easy to understand. Additionally, lunch meals are also recommended to avail, beef steak really tastes good. Kudos to Yuki for this trip! More power to your company.
We had a great trip, but there were a few comments: regarding the pickup location we chose, after booking, we were told the time had changed, which later turned out not to be true. Also, the microphone on the bus was of poor quality, making it difficult for me to understand parts of what the guide was saying (and I already had trouble understanding her in English). Furthermore, we were very lucky that there was little cloud cover around Mount Fuji, allowing us to take beautiful photos.
Mt. Fuji was breathtaking and Omar was a fantastic guide! Our drivers made sure we were on time for all of our stops and overall it was a very seamless experience from the get go! My wife and I could’ve spent an entire lifetime exploring Mt. Fuji and its many towns, lakes, and villages but our tour was a great way to see some of the greatest hits! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo!
We had a perfect day and the view of Mt.Fuji was clear. November is a great time of year to visit as the weather was amazing! Omar was a great guide throughout the day. We would recommend it for those who want time away from busy city life.
Great price and the guide Owada-san brought us to some of the best spots to enjoy the views of Mt. Fuji.
My husband and I had a great time. We definitely recommend the tour to Kawaguchiko. If you want to see several places that are hard to reach by public transport, this is the way to do it. Our guide Mitsu-San spoke incredibly great English. She was so, so, so nice and helpful. We were also surprised by the spontaneity of the restaurant - since we are vegans we did not expect to be able to eat anything. But the chef prepared us a yummy vegan meal. Thanks again! In addition, the weather was great, so we were able to see mount Fuji in all its glory. Perfect day!
Eric (Xiao Zhang) is a friendly guide. You can ask any questions! He is very enthusiastic. He can switch between Chinese and English. There are only 5 people who speak Chinese in the whole group. He will also give a special introduction. There should be more information. The West Lake Reagan Park is really beautiful.
