Ishigaki Yaima Village snorkeling

My family and I had a wonderful snorkeling experience. We saw many different kinds of fish, even sea snakes. Thanks to our tour guide, Akari. She did an amazing job. She showed us where the clownfish were and kept us safe during our tour.

It was truly the best!!!! The staff were incredibly kind, and even though we were the only Koreans among all Japanese people, we had a wonderful time!! Even though we weren't good at Japanese or English, we communicated using a translator, and everyone was so warm and friendly!! I thought we'd just jump into the sea in our swimsuits for snorkeling, but they even provided wetsuits, so we saw the fish very comfortably!! They guided us safely until the very end, making our first trip to Ishigaki incredibly happy!!👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️

Booked for a full day: mangrove SUP/kayaking in the morning, and Blue Cave snorkeling in the afternoon! The meeting point was very easy to find, and the pre-activity notes were very clear. The negative oxygen ions in the mangroves in the morning were off the charts! Very chill! You can have a delicious lunch near the ferry terminal and rest a bit before continuing in the afternoon. The Blue Cave snorkeling in the afternoon was a fantastic experience. Our instructor, Aoi, was very patient and professional. Two of our companions who couldn't swim were also very well taken care of. The sea around Ishigaki Island is incredibly clear, and we saw huge coral reefs and various beautiful marine creatures. Aoi also took many photos and videos for everyone. I highly recommend everyone to come and experience snorkeling here!!

If you don't request pick-up and drop-off separately, they won't come to pick you up, so you must apply via LINE or email if you need it. Otherwise, you'll have to find the tour company yourself. The tour details aren't very extensive, but there's a first point and a second point. After about a 40-50 minute boat ride, you'll snorkel in the middle of many coral reefs at the first point. You'll snorkel here for an hour, and then at the second point, it seemed to take about 15-20 minutes. You'll go to a fantastic island where you'll have 30 minutes, but you'll need to return the rented snorkel gear. Expect fewer fish than in Southeast Asia, haha... Water and food are personal items, so be sure to bring your own water and drinks! The sea is beautiful. My father is over 65, and I couldn't get a doctor's certificate, but I strongly recommend everyone bring one. You can't do the snorkeling experience, but you can ride the boat. The main customers are almost exclusively Japanese, and only simple English is spoken, so if you're new to snorkeling, this tour might be a bit challenging. I'm leaving this information because there's so little tour information about Ishigaki. I hope it helps everyone 🥹

This afternoon I joined the snorkeling tour by ISHIGAKI ADVENTURE PiPi and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The first stop was directly into the sea for snorkeling, where I saw colorful tropical fish and vast coral reefs, as if entering a vibrant underwater world. The second stop was the dreamlike Phantom Island, where the pristine white sandbar sparkled under the sun, intertwining with the azure sea, a breathtakingly beautiful sight. The tour company's arrangements were very thoughtful, with complete equipment and a smooth process, making everyone feel at ease throughout. Special thanks to our guide Jiro, who was very enthusiastic throughout, not only patiently explaining the marine and island ecology but also thoughtfully helping everyone take many wonderful photos, making the entire trip even more relaxed and enjoyable. This snorkeling experience in Ishigaki Island is truly worth recommending!

We went snorkeling with Makoto. The water was crystal clear and we saw many colorful fish and corals, and Makoto kept taking photos and videos throughout. It was a lot of fun, we would have loved to stay longer!

Natsune and Haruka were amazing! Super friendly and made sure everyone on the tour was well looked after! The kids enjoyed their first proper snorkel experience! We saw three sea turtles! The instructors were professional and friendly. All equipment was prepared for! We just needed to bring ourselves, water, and towels!

Initially, there was a change in the itinerary. We first went to Taketomi and then to Phantom Island. I preferred it that way, so it didn't bother me. I received the ferry ticket and was able to explore Taketomi on my own. It was a very interesting island, which I explored on foot. A bike wasn't necessary, but many recommend it. At lunchtime, Naomi took us to the boat. We received our equipment and an introduction to snorkeling. At sea, Naomi looked after our small group and led us to various locations. She made sure we took breaks and took photos of us. Afterward, we went to Phantom Island and had some time there. I chatted with Naomi there and received some more information about the island and Ishigaki. Afterward, we went back. It was a wonderful snorkeling experience; the coral reefs were beautiful. The staff were very friendly, funny, and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.
