Mais do que um passeio para ver o nascer do sol, este meio dia foi verdadeiramente significativo, e o nosso guia James foi o ponto alto! Começamos comprando comida para oferecer dana (esmola) no Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, passando pela estátua do monge que arrecadou fundos para construir a estrada da montanha. O James já foi monge, então ele nos explicou a história de Buda, os murais do templo e o significado das decorações dos pilares. O nascer do sol estava deslumbrante, com toda a cidade lá embaixo enquanto o James compartilhava a história de cada templo. O Wat Pha Lat é um refúgio escondido e pacífico. Através de suas conexões com os monges, o James nos deu uma verdadeira perspectiva da vida monástica e do significado por trás das nagas, tigres e divindades. O nosso favorito foi o Wat Umong. Experimentamos instrumentos e bebidas locais em um pequeno evento e exploramos os túneis de meditação que um rei construiu para um monge venerado (com morcegos fofos lá dentro!). Pareceu uma visita a templos históricos de Lanna com um monge de verdade ao seu lado. Altamente recomendado, e o James é o melhor guia!

I made good use of the free time in the evening for sightseeing. The duration was just right, not too long and not too short. It was very convenient that after the tour, I could be dropped off at a dinner location instead of being taken back to the hotel. The guide was also very kind and provided clear explanations, which was excellent.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend the Doi Suthep half-day tour! The itinerary is well-paced and never feels rushed. Our tour guide, Mike, speaks Chinese, so communication was completely seamless. His service was exceptional; he patiently explained things along the way and even kindly offered to take photos for us, knowing all the best angles. We stopped at a Hmong village for coffee halfway through, which had a wonderful mountain atmosphere and offered an immersive experience of Northern Thailand's hill tribe culture. The entire experience was relaxed and comfortable, making it stress-free even with children. A wonderful mountain excursion in Chiang Mai and extremely satisfying!

If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you should definitely try a Muay Thai class! It's an incredibly novel and exhilarating experience! I booked a group class on Klook a day in advance, thinking that having more people would make it less awkward, but I still ended up making a fool of myself. The class started at 9 AM and finished at 10:30 AM, lasting a total of an hour and a half. For the first ten minutes or so, the head coach, Mark, led us through stretching, warm-ups, and jogging around the ring. The Thai coach spoke English, and everyone understood him, because I was the only Chinese person there, so my reactions were always a beat slower than everyone else's. But despite a few stumbles, I managed to get through the class smoothly. After the warm-up, the head coach started wrapping our hands with cloth strips. After he wrapped one hand, he asked me how it felt. I said it was too tight, so he loosened it for me. When he wrapped the other hand, I still felt it was too tight. He smiled helplessly and had to loosen that one too. I thought maybe these cloth strips, wrapped before Muay Thai, needed to be tight to protect the hands! But after the class, my hands were covered in marks, haha. It was a blessing that I didn't get injured. After wrapping, the head coach had us put on boxing gloves and started teaching us basic moves. After teaching each move, he would have us practice in pairs, repeatedly, until we mastered the basics. My training partner was the assistant coach, "Ice." I often made mistakes because I was too nervous, forgetting to guard with my right hand when punching with my left. At these times, he would tell me that if I didn't guard, someone would "bang" and hit me with a punch. Although the assistant coach also told me not to be nervous and just enjoy it, I always had that "good student" mindset, wanting to do my best, and then I'd get flustered again. In the end, I made the assistant coach laugh. He even started guarding when he should have been punching, and punching when he should have been guarding. Seeing how nervous I was, he even scared me by saying he was going to hit hard. I quickly waved my hands: "Nonono! You will hurt me! No!" Then he saw me frowning in fear, and he also burst out laughing. We couldn't continue training, both bent over laughing. This must be my ultimate combat move! To make my opponent laugh until they're exhausted, and then I win without fighting. After a 90-minute experience class, I was truly exhausted. My hands ached from being squeezed, and my feet hurt from kicking. Even though I was constantly hitting people, punching sandbags, and kicking tires, I was as sore as if I had been beaten. But it was so much fun and exhilarating! Life experience +1.

While trying to decide what to experience in Chiang Mai, I found this place. It's an activity where you can make Ya Dom (Thai inhaler) and herbal balls, which are signature Thai products, so I decided to give it a try! It was very informative to learn about the characteristics and effects of each herb and to make them myself. Most importantly, the instructor was very kind and made it a pleasant experience. Since I made the Ya Dom and herbal balls myself, they feel even more meaningful and valuable to use. The store also sells herbal teas, oils, and balms, and their effects are really great! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and educational activity!

It was incredibly fun. You could tell that the tour guides were very knowledgeable about the animals, and safety was also a top priority. The group size was not too large and just right. Everything was explained very well to us, and questions were answered. The price-performance ratio was also great. A truly unique experience that everyone should try at least once.

We were picked up in an air-conditioned van, stopped at the market to learn about the ingredients, and then watched the instructor explain and demonstrate the cooking process before preparing our own dishes with the provided ingredients and tasting them. The pacing and depth of the explanation were just right, making it a fun cooking experience. At the end, everyone gets to cook with a spectacular flame show. It was a delicious and incredibly fun time. My daughter, a middle school student, loved it as well. I highly recommend the cooking class at Rice Barn with Teacher Lollipop! I was hesitant at first because there were few reviews, but I am extremely satisfied.

Wolfe was the perfect guide! I had a great time and we went to places I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Great way to meet people & I’d definitely do it again.

The environment is wonderful! The female store manager speaks Chinese, and the rest of the staff also know some basic Chinese, so there are no communication issues. They are very patient in helping you choose the right outfit. During the hair and makeup process, you can share your ideas at any time. However, when we went, applying false eyelashes required an extra 100 baht fee. Everyone was very friendly and great at providing emotional support. If you want to experience traditional clothing, you should definitely come to this shop.
