Our guide, Ploy brought us to the wet market for some introduction to the ingredient. Then we went to the cooking school, cut some leaves from their garden and begin cooking. The staffs prepped all the ingredient for us, with some minimal cutting, pounding and mixing of ingredients, then begins the cooking. The cooking itself was fast paced cause you cannot let it burn, so you need to catch up fast, but it’s definitely manageable. Overall, it’s an amazing experience to eat what we’ve prepared! Huge kudos to the staffs and chefs there, will definitely come again! Now I can go back home and cook for my loved ones, with the recipe provided!

The cooking class experience was excellent. The market tour guide explained everything very clearly, and our instructor, Mai, was great at creating a fun atmosphere, so everyone had a wonderful time. The food portions were very generous; I recommend bringing a food container to take the dessert back to your hotel to enjoy at your leisure. Also, it's definitely worth paying extra for the air-conditioned room because there are mosquitoes outdoors, and it gets a bit warm after cooking. Enjoying the food in an air-conditioned room is the smart choice! The only downside was that the transfer vehicle didn't have air conditioning, and the staff kept taking photos of us but never shared them. I tried contacting them via email and Facebook Messenger, but received no response. I had assumed that since the staff were taking so many pictures, I didn't need to take many of my family for souvenirs, and now I regret not having those photos. It's a real shame that I can't retrieve them!

If you're visiting Chiang Mai, you should definitely try a Muay Thai class! It's an incredibly novel and exhilarating experience! I booked a group class on Klook a day in advance, thinking that having more people would make it less awkward, but I still ended up making a fool of myself. The class started at 9 AM and finished at 10:30 AM, lasting a total of an hour and a half. For the first ten minutes or so, the head coach, Mark, led us through stretching, warm-ups, and jogging around the ring. The Thai coach spoke English, and everyone understood him, because I was the only Chinese person there, so my reactions were always a beat slower than everyone else's. But despite a few stumbles, I managed to get through the class smoothly. After the warm-up, the head coach started wrapping our hands with cloth strips. After he wrapped one hand, he asked me how it felt. I said it was too tight, so he loosened it for me. When he wrapped the other hand, I still felt it was too tight. He smiled helplessly and had to loosen that one too. I thought maybe these cloth strips, wrapped before Muay Thai, needed to be tight to protect the hands! But after the class, my hands were covered in marks, haha. It was a blessing that I didn't get injured. After wrapping, the head coach had us put on boxing gloves and started teaching us basic moves. After teaching each move, he would have us practice in pairs, repeatedly, until we mastered the basics. My training partner was the assistant coach, "Ice." I often made mistakes because I was too nervous, forgetting to guard with my right hand when punching with my left. At these times, he would tell me that if I didn't guard, someone would "bang" and hit me with a punch. Although the assistant coach also told me not to be nervous and just enjoy it, I always had that "good student" mindset, wanting to do my best, and then I'd get flustered again. In the end, I made the assistant coach laugh. He even started guarding when he should have been punching, and punching when he should have been guarding. Seeing how nervous I was, he even scared me by saying he was going to hit hard. I quickly waved my hands: "Nonono! You will hurt me! No!" Then he saw me frowning in fear, and he also burst out laughing. We couldn't continue training, both bent over laughing. This must be my ultimate combat move! To make my opponent laugh until they're exhausted, and then I win without fighting. After a 90-minute experience class, I was truly exhausted. My hands ached from being squeezed, and my feet hurt from kicking. Even though I was constantly hitting people, punching sandbags, and kicking tires, I was as sore as if I had been beaten. But it was so much fun and exhilarating! Life experience +1.

PU was my masseuse, and I chose the four-hour deluxe package. The entire process was very relaxing and enjoyable. The essential oil selection, body scrub, milk bath, traditional Thai massage, and facial treatment were all excellent. Most importantly, buying the voucher on Klook made it even more worthwhile! Very good, and the price is also very affordable. When you arrive, they first give you a cup of herbal tea, then the massage goes from your back to your legs, then to the front, and finally to your head. The massage therapist's skills are excellent. I highly recommend Kate (I think that's her name). Highly recommended, absolutely flawless.

I trained at this gym again after three years. Compared to back then, there are more staff members, and the facilities have been significantly upgraded and cleaned, even including a merchandise shop. I highly recommend it because the instruction is tailored to your skill level.

This visit to Makkha Health & Spa Old Town Chiang Mai for a massage was truly satisfying, and I'm very grateful for the dedication of the establishment and the masseuses. The masseuses' techniques were very professional, and the pressure was perfectly controlled. Throughout the process, I never felt awkward or uncomfortable; they truly helped release the fatigue accumulated during my travels. After the massage, my body felt much lighter, and my mind was significantly more relaxed. I highly recommend this place. Not only was the massage comfortable, but the overall experience, the atmosphere of the space, and the service details were all impeccable. It's definitely worth scheduling a visit when traveling to Chiang Mai, a place that makes you want to return! I am very thankful for this service; it truly left me with wonderful memories.
