While there are day cruises for Ha Long Bay, if you have the time, I highly recommend experiencing an overnight stay. The sunrise and sunset are truly worth seeing. I was worried about the transfer from Hanoi since it was my first time, but the guide Mr. Lee arranged everything precisely, and once I was picked up, I felt completely at ease! After boarding the ship, doing the canoeing activity makes the experience even more enjoyable. I couldn't do it, so I joined via boat instead, but that was also a wonderful experience! I was worried because I was traveling alone and not very confident in English, but thanks to the wonderful nature of the staff and fellow participants, I never felt lonely and laughed a lot. All the meals were delicious, and the room was fantastic! The atmosphere was also great for those who just want to relax. It was a fascinating experience to see people from so many different countries and backgrounds participating. Blessed with great weather, it turned out to be a truly wonderful cruise.

My hotel didn't offer pickup, so we decided to meet in front of the Opera House. It wasn't far from the hotel to the Opera House, so that was fine. The pickup vehicle arrived about 10 minutes later than the scheduled time. The bus wasn't a luxury bus, but it was acceptable. Before arriving at Ha Long Bay, we first stopped at a shop selling goods. There was no pressure to buy anything. I just bought a drink. The boat we boarded wasn't large, but it was quite splendid. The boat departed around 10:30 AM. A buffet-style meal was served on board starting at 11:00 AM. The food wasn't bad. Ha Long Bay is a beautiful marine park, and you can enjoy the stunning scenery from the boat. Many company boats dotted the sea, which was also a magnificent sight. There's a basic option to visit a short sea cave by rowing boat, and also time to enjoy kayaking. Taking a speedboat is a paid option. On the way back, a cooking class was held on board, but only locals participated. Overall, if you're not focused on enjoying the scenery, it could be a boring time. However, it was a time to fully appreciate the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay. The sea was calm, so there was no seasickness. On the bus ride back to Hanoi, we also stopped at a shop selling goods. Again, there was no pressure to buy. The shops had items that could also be bought in Hanoi, selling them at high prices. The shops need to change. They need to offer products that can open tourists' wallets and prices that match. That way, sales will likely increase. I bought another drink this time. The guide never pressured us. The guide was kind and dedicated to their work. The price of the Ha Long Bay tour seems to vary depending on the luxury level of the transportation and the boat. The tour I experienced today felt like a mid-level one. However, I was satisfied with the tour because of the guide's kindness. I'd like to thank Allen, our guide who was with us all day!

Let me begin with an honest review. Firstly, it's a budget-friendly cruise. You can't get such a pleasant and beautiful experience elsewhere. Our guide, Victor, is the best of all. You won't find anyone like Victor. Good accommodation and activities, everything is top-notch. Best experience of my life. Guys, go for it!

The tour was very well organized with sufficient information being provided by our host Binh from time to time who is a great tour guide, an enthusiastic photographer and also pretty hilarious. The entire day was well planned and executed in a punctual manner. On the cruise, I loved the hospitality offered by staff, wide selection of food options, evening snacks and tea. Activities such as Kayaking, swimming, cycling etc also added to our pleasant experience.

I had a great experience joining this trip. The tour guide, Mr. Hao (Happy), really left a great impression on me. Just like his nickname, “Happy,” he truly kept everyone’s spirits up, even though it was raining that day. He was enthusiastic, energetic, helpful, cheerful, attentive, and always made sure everyone was having a good time. At first, I was a little disappointed with the weather. It was raining, and I had hoped to enjoy kayaking under the sunshine. However, it turned out to be one of my best memories—the experience of kayaking in the rain was unforgettable. Mr. Happy was always reminding us, “Have fun, don’t get hurt,” and he constantly looked out for everyone’s safety. He also frequently checked on us throughout the trip to make sure we were doing well. The food on the cruise was great as well. Overall, I would rate this experience 9/10. I booked a 2-day, 1-night trip to Ha Long Bay with my mother. The room condition was better than expected, and all the staff were very kind. My wife, our 4-year-old daughter, and I came from Japan. The result was an unforgettable experience. We departed from Hanoi. On April 29th, 2026, the highway was heavily congested, taking 4 hours instead of the usual 2.5 hours. However, the driver remained calm and safely delivered us. The rest of the schedule went very smoothly. We were worried because we hardly speak any English. After boarding, the kind staff provided excellent support. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful experience with both meals and activities. I think the difference between the Ambassador and many other ships lies in its elegance and stylish design. The staff wear black uniforms, creating a chic atmosphere. The rooms also had a calming interior, allowing us to relax. And, I prefer the Long Ha Bay route to Ha Long Bay because it's quieter. Finally, I would like to thank all the staff, especially Huong Butler, for their kindness. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
