Today we booked the Lan Ha Bay tour from Hanoi, and our guide was Binh. First, they texted us to remind us that they were going to give us two options because one of their boats was broken, and they gave us the choice to either cancel and be refunded or continue the trip on another boat. The other boat that they provided was really nice, as shown here in the photos. And Binh, our guide, was so much fun. He was very funny, he was very knowledgeable of the history of Vietnam, and especially in Cat Ba, and he ensured that we were safe and we enjoyed ourselves. We also had a good time in the itinerary. This is highly recommended. We are so glad that we chose Lan Ha Bay instead of Halong Bay because it was really peaceful and there were not much other tours and ships present. The whole team of Serenity even took note of small details such as placing a fan in front of us when we were feeling a little bit warm and Binh kindly offered to take pictures of us using his camera!

We had a fantastic experience with Taliya Day Cruise! We arrived early at Terminal 36B, and the staff kindly guided us to the air-conditioned waiting room at 36A, which was equipped with four restrooms. The cruise departed right on time, and the boat itself felt very new and well-maintained. Although some previous reviews mentioned that plastic water bottles were prohibited, there was actually no such restriction in place. The itinerary was well-paced and comfortable without being exhausting. Coupled with the warm, friendly, and attentive service from the crew, it was truly a wonderful and enjoyable trip!

We had the most amazing experience cruising through Ha Long Bay with Azura Cruise! Honestly, one of the best cruises we’ve ever been on. Everything was so clean, luxurious, and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and they even surprised my husband for his birthday, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! 🥹💕 They truly went above and beyond to make our experience extra special and memorable. And the food? Absolutely INSANE! Especially the set-menu dinner, which was so fancy, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. Such an unforgettable experience, and definitely one of the highlights of our Vietnam trip! ❤️

Vaig tenir una gran experiència en aquest viatge. El guia turístic, el senyor Hao (Happy), em va deixar una gran impressió. Igual que el seu sobrenom, "Happy", realment va mantenir l'ànim de tothom, tot i que plovia aquell dia. Era entusiasta, enèrgic, servicial, alegre, atent i sempre s'assegurava que tothom s'ho passés bé. Al principi, estava una mica decebut amb el temps. Plovia i havia esperat gaudir del caiac sota el sol. No obstant això, va resultar ser un dels meus millors records: l'experiència de fer caiac sota la pluja va ser inoblidable. El senyor Happy sempre ens recordava: "Divertiu-vos, no us feu mal", i constantment vetllava per la seguretat de tothom. També ens va preguntar sovint durant el viatge per assegurar-se que estàvem bé. El menjar del creuer també va ser fantàstic. En general, valoraria aquesta experiència amb un 9/10. Gràcies, senyor Happy, per fer aquest viatge tan agradable. Espero tornar-lo a veure algun dia!

Total of 26 people on the tour. I was the only Korean person. It was a 3-story, high-end cruise ship with a small pool inside, and simple food was provided. You could see several islands, and the sunset was beautiful. We had a short time to enjoy swimming and canoeing. We also visited a local village, and it was a great value-for-money tour. One minor disappointment was that the canoe experience was advertised as included in the tour price, but there was an additional charge (150,000-200,000 VND).

Overall, it was great! For someone with no prior cruise experience, both the sense of occasion and the relaxed vibe score a full ten out of ten. The meals and service were both quite good! Don't focus too much on the included excursion activities like kayaking and exploring the caves; unless you are a huge fan, you might find them a bit boring. Fully enjoy your time on the ship—all the facilities and services make you feel like you are getting more than your money's worth! From dusk to night, and into the early morning, the changing times of day always bring uniquely wonderful views! The pick-up and drop-off were smooth, the service was enthusiastic, and it truly felt like a home away from home! Halong Bay, a wonderful journey! Completely captivated and reminiscing...

The Cat Ba trip starts from the cable car station, which is spacious, fast, and nice. However, it is a bit disappointing that there are no restaurants. If you depart from Incheon and arrive at 9:55 AM, it is difficult to catch the 11:00 AM cable car, so you will have to wait until 1:30 PM.
