Things to do in Haiphong

Unlike other tours that direct you to Tuan Chau International Marina, Google Maps accurately guides you directly to the boat boarding location, so you can take a taxi straight to the place in the first photo. Upon arrival, the reception confirms your reservation and you board. From welcoming guests to explaining the itinerary, having lunch, riding a bamboo boat to explore the cave, and kayaking and swimming before returning for tea time, everything was great. The lunch buffet food and drinks all suited my taste, and everyone at the reception was friendly. Thanks to them, I had a really good time. Thank you.

Great day tour, lots of activities but not too long. Beautiful boat. We are gluten free and had safe food options at the buffet. Our tour guide Billy was amazing and definitely went the extra mile, taking amazing photos of all the guests for us, as well as providing rain coats when we arrived back to a storm in Hanoi! I wish him all the best.

fantastic cruise!!! every effort was made to make our trip comfortable. international cuisine. kids loved all the activities. do carry dry fit clothes and swimsuits. especially footwear.. the manager Mr. Ha was very good. Will definitely recommend.

So glad to have Victor as our guide, he made sure the whole journey was worth it from the very start to finish. The pick up time was very early in the morning but Victor’s energy was unmatched. He was enthusiastic, humorous and very intelligent when touring us around historical sights that we passed in the bus. One thing I’d like to commend him is his organisation skills, he made sure everyone in the group understood the timings and itinerary of our experience. Everything was laid out so clearly and his communication skills were excellent. He took really good care of us, any questions we had, even unrelated to the cruise we booked, he was happy to guide us and recommend the best options for us. Although the cruise had a tiny few outdated decorations and facilities that needed to be fixed (e.g the japanese toilet in our cabin bathroom), and that there wasn’t any wifi in our cabin, we still made the most out of it. Food was great, we were well fed and a lot of options for us.

An excellent cruise, worth every dong! I'm surprised by the great quality for such a moderate price. The boat is very comfortable and clean; you can sit downstairs in a cool area or upstairs on the second and third decks on comfortable seats or loungers. Lunch is hearty, with an excellent selection of very tasty dishes, and importantly, the crew accommodates all dietary restrictions and needs. The route is incredibly beautiful; you'll want to endlessly gaze at the cliffs and the sea. But the special highlight is the guide, Hau (Mr. Happy): super enthusiastic, active, cheerful, attentive, and truly infectious with his mood and love for the local area. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company and this boat.

Went on a trip in December, took it for 2 days, really enjoyed everything, the only thing is that there were a lot of people on the excursions, but it has nothing to do with the operator. The cabins are magnificent, no seasickness, karaoke in the evening for entertainment. The only thing we regretted was not taking it for 3 days and 3 nights.

so grateful I choose Hera. Eventough so many people choose the cheaper options to Ha Long Bay Area (visit Sung Sot Cave & Ti Top Island), but I prefer Hera Cruise which is most likely exploring the Lan Ha Bay area instead of Ha Long Bay. The 2 bays are neighbouring but Lan Ha Bay is more private, quiter and less touristy. The price of the cruise is truly reasonable. Since I was going on low season (June), the cruise was not full so our lunch was converted to a set course. Surprisingly GOOD! We have welcome drink + 6 courses (and order additional water & ice tea throughout the day). We also remember Jenny, the staff who accompany us from the beginning. She was so kind, no pushy for upselling, able to speak english, and good hospitality. Yes Hera leaves one hour earlier than the other cruises, but it makes the journey has lesser rush. Got back to old quarter by 7pm and after the trip ended, we can still have an enjoyable on time dinner. Oh the VIP limousine bus was also great. So comfy.

The zoo is spacious (the elephant looks sad) 🥹 (9.5/10). The play area is fantastic, no long lines (10/10). Food and drinks inside are a bit expensive, so it's better to eat outside the gate (cheaper prices). The whole area is very large, so wear comfortable shoes.

Tickets are easy to book, and the staff are enthusiastic. It's less crowded if you go at 11 AM. Once you cross to the other side, take the Én Vàng bus for 310k to get to the city center.
