Cruzeiro de Luxo Amethyst: Baía de Ha Long com Sung Sot e Ti Top

The scenery of Ha Long Bay is truly astonishing. I've visited similar karst landscapes at sea, like Phang Nga or Krabi, but Ha Long Bay still left me deeply impressed. As soon as the boat left the harbor, we were greeted by breathtaking mountains and waters, and the deeper we went into Ha Long Bay, the more magnificent and beautiful the scenery became. Although the weather was a bit gloomy when I visited, the misty mountains and waters still looked quite beautiful. The planned activities, such as visiting stalactite caves and kayaking through grottoes, were also a lot of fun. The food and service on the boat were excellent; Vietnamese cuisine is simply delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed lunch, and the coffee drink I ordered separately was also great. The shuttle service from Hanoi was also very good. Although it required an early start (7:00 AM), it was worth it to arrive at Ha Long Bay earlier. Overall, it was a very worthwhile day trip. One thing to note is that dinner is not included, and the shuttle back to Hanoi arrives after 9 PM. So, after disembarking, be sure to buy some food at the pier (there are many shops and a Starbucks at the pier) so you don't go hungry until you reach Hanoi.

What a fantastic experience! The Amethyst Cruise was the best choice for this Hanoi trip. The pick-up and drop-off in Hanoi were punctual and thoughtful. We booked a luxury bus, which had about a dozen people, and the front and back seats were spacious and comfortable. Upon arrival at Ha Long Bay, a guide met us from the bus and escorted us to the ship. Every deck was luxurious, and the interior facilities were new, clean, and tidy. As the cruise sailed away from the shore, we went to the top deck to admire the karst landscape on the water – it was so delightful. Around 11:30 AM, a lavish buffet began, lasting about an hour, where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery while eating. Surprise Cave and Ti Top Island were both beautiful and relaxing. We also experienced a sampan boat and a speedboat. While on the sampan, we were caught in a sudden downpour. The boatman paddled frantically into a cave, which was packed with other sampans. Although we were soaked, everyone was still very happy. My son and I then went on a speedboat. A special thanks to a handsome gentleman from the Amethyst Cruise who helped us coordinate the speedboat ride; he worked so hard, and we are very grateful! The speedboat sped through the rain, with screams rising and falling – it was so exhilarating! The scenery was stunning: the vast sea, the miraculously crafted rocky islands, the rain pouring on our faces, and the guide's humorous commentary made us laugh out loud. It was an unprecedented experience! The half-hour ride ended quickly. Back at the shore, the Amethyst Cruise staff even held an umbrella for me to get back into the cabin and had prepared towels and clothes-drying equipment for everyone. We could also shower and change clothes; the service was incredibly thoughtful! At 4 PM, various desserts, tea, and coffee were prepared on the deck for a sunset party. The spectacular sea sunset, accompanied by coffee, delicious food, and wonderful music, had everyone singing, dancing, and enjoying the beautiful time! I had an incredible day trip on the Ha Long Bay cruise! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and very enjoyable. The food on board was absolutely delicious — a great variety of local Vietnamese dishes, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a treat, and there was more than enough for everyone. The service on the boat was outstanding. All the crew members were extremely friendly, polite, and always smiling. They made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. I really appreciated how attentive they were — offering drinks, helping with photos, and checking in on us throughout the trip. What impressed me most was how responsible the staff were at every stop. They always counted carefully and waited until everyone was safely back on board before departing. It made me feel completely safe and well taken care of.

I particularly loved the outdoor jacuzzi and the expansive sunbathing area on the upper deck, where you can soak or sunbathe while admiring the million-dollar views of "Guilin on the Sea"—it's simply the ultimate indulgence! The ship also offers delicious afternoon tea, which was very pleasant and romantic to enjoy with snacks while watching the sunset on the return journey. Amazing Itinerary: The itinerary planning was very smooth and fulfilling, covering all the classic attractions without missing a single one: 1. Sung Sot Cave (Surprise Cave): The guide led us to visit Halong Bay's largest and most beautiful stalactite cave; its grandeur was breathtaking. 2. Luon Cave / Kayaking Experience: We took a bamboo boat or personally kayaked through the limestone cave, getting up close to the bay's tranquility, which was very interesting. 3. Ti Top Island: Climbing to the summit viewpoint, we could take in the magnificent panoramic view of Halong Bay's thousands of islands—the scenery was so beautiful it left me speechless! High-Quality Dining and Attentive Service: • Lavish Buffet Lunch: The buffet lunch provided on board offered a rich variety of Asian and European dishes. The fresh seafood, in particular, was delicious, with ample portions and exquisite presentation—it was entirely up to high-end restaurant standards. • Excellent Guides and Crew: The staff on board (especially the guides) were very friendly, professional, and enthusiastic. They provided detailed explanations throughout, ensuring every passenger was well taken care of. The service level was first-class, making one feel highly honored.

Amazing experience with Amethyst - the interior of the cruise is nice and comfortable. Our guide Rosie and the cruise staff Lily are both warm and welcoming. The weather was lovely and their itinerary is well planned. We got to visit the Song Sut Cave and experience the bamboo boat. The food is also fantastic.

The itinerary was well-arranged, allowing time for rest and enjoying the scenery, and activities weren't rushed. After boarding, the guide explained the day's schedule. We rested briefly, familiarized ourselves with the surroundings, and then had lunch, which was truly delicious! They even offered a shrimp-peeling service! Our first stop was Surprise Cave, where we saw magnificent, natural stalactite and stalagmite formations, making us marvel at the wonders of nature. The second stop was Luon Cave, where we paid extra for a yacht ride and enjoyed the included kayaking. The views were unique and both experiences were well worth trying. The third stop was Titov Island; the beach was small, but wading in the water was quite pleasant. Climbing to the highest point to see Ha Long Bay was truly beautiful. I originally had no expectations for a super tourist destination like Ha Long Bay, but it was definitely worth a visit. The ship's facilities were new and the service staff were all excellent, making for a fantastic experience! However, any additional purchases require cash payment, as do expenses at each stop, so remember to bring some cash with you.

Amazing experience with Amethyst. The staff are so welcoming, they make you feel at home within moments of stepping on the cruise. The interiors are plush and comfortable. We had opted for vegetarian Indian food, and it was good. This cruise is also a bit longer than most other day cruises offered here. The itinerary is standard, but I have to reiterate, the staff make it amazing.

The cruise experience was amazing and fun! I was very excited to go on a Halong Bay cruise and decided to book with this cruise line. The guide on the day as well as the staff on the cruise were all lovely and really ensured us as guests really had a great time! Shout out to Lily - Hien and Phu’O’ng - Brenna for looking after us on the cruise. They really spent time talking to the guests and offering to take pictures for us. I highly recommend this tour to experience the beauty of Halong Bay and with this cruise line. Food wise was good as well! 😊
