Jikishinbou Saiki, uma estrela Michelin em Kyoto

The meal was a set course prepared with seasonal ingredients. Each dish was amazing and could be enjoyed with all five senses. The gorgeous tableware enhanced the beauty and flavor of the food. The owner was friendly and explained the dishes we were eating in English. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, yet felt authentic. We had a wonderful experience visiting this Michelin-starred restaurant in Gion, Kyoto!

This was truly the best Japanese dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Japanese cuisine. The dishes, such as soup simmered with seasonal vegetables, fresh sashimi, and grilled fish, fully brought out the natural flavors of the ingredients and were unforgettable. The rice cooked in a clay pot was chewy and sweet; it was our first time having such delicious rice. It was a very meaningful time!

Absolutely 100 points! The owner is friends with the owner of Ryugin, and their English is excellent, so we had a delightful conversation throughout. The dishes were also incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, on par with Ryugin. I will definitely go again next time.

An absolutely wonderful experience! We got to try Kaiseki cuisine on our second day in Kyoto. The chef explained the ingredients and names of each dish in fluent English. We're especially grateful because we initially booked for the wrong date, a date when we would have already left Kyoto. After trying to reschedule for various days, and even adjusting the opening hours didn't work with our Shinkansen schedule, the chef kindly accommodated us on the same evening. We are truly thankful. Among the fleeting glimpses of Kyoto we've had these past few days, this experience is definitely one of the reasons I'll return to Kyoto. Next time, I'll make sure to check the dates carefully!

The location is excellent, near Yasaka Shrine. The owner is very welcoming and communicates entirely in English. The ingredients are abundant, and the final rice portion was a bit large, so you can take it to go.
