JR East Passe da Área de Tohoku

Pude comprar un JR Pass antes del aumento de precio. Solo adquirimos el pase de 5 días, pero fue más que suficiente para llevarnos por Iwate, Akita y Aomori, incluyendo nuestros viajes en shinkansen desde y hacia Tokio. Definitivamente valió la pena el precio en comparación con lo que habríamos gastado en boletos individuales sin el pase.

The staff were friendly, and the process was clear, making it easy to complete even if you are not familiar with Japanese. Seat reservations can also be made at the time of exchange, which is a great advantage for itineraries involving Shinkansen travel, saving a lot of time queuing on-site. During the actual use period, JR East's train system demonstrated high punctuality and stability. Almost every train departed and arrived precisely on time, making the overall itinerary planning more reassuring. Whether taking the Tohoku Shinkansen to and from Sendai and Morioka, or local lines to more remote areas, one can feel the high efficiency and comfort of Japan's railway system. The train carriages are clean, and the seats are spacious, so even long journeys do not feel tiring. In addition, the rail pass has extensive coverage, allowing free travel on multiple JR lines, including Shinkansen and some limited express trains, offering great flexibility. We were able to explore Akita, Morioka, Aomori and Sendai using this pass. Narita Express and Tohoku Shinkansen were included, so we were able to use it immediately straight from the airport. Worth the price!

Smooth travelling from Narita Airport to Aomori, Kesennuma, Fukushima, Omiya, Yokohama & Tokyo. Bought the 10days pass and it was more worth it buying from Klook as the pricing is more competitive. Took the Pokemin train with the pass too which was fun!

Excellent value! You can use it on JR Buses without limits within the service area, and reserve Shinkansen seats without limits. It's valid for 10 consecutive days, which is great value. For those arriving in Tokyo, I highly recommend this pass. You can travel all over Tohoku, and it's really convenient to exchange and use.

I love the convenience of buying the pass online, and there's no need to collect a physical copy before traveling to Japan. The online voucher is issued instantly, and you just need to show it at the JR counter at the airport. This pass allows you to book Shinkansen tickets, and everything was settled upon arrival at the airport. After that, it's just about enjoying the journeys and having fun.

I arrived at Haneda on a Peach late-night flight without using any annual leave. Thanks to Peach, which delayed the flight as usual, I arrived at the airport in the early morning. After wandering around Terminal 3, I took the free shuttle bus, which is the first bus at 4:15 AM, to the Terminal 2 tourist information center, where they exchange passes from 6 AM. I quickly exchanged my pass and immediately used the Monorail, Yamanote Line, Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayabusa), Aomori Railway, and Ominato Line to safely complete my trip to Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture. I used the JR lines and Aomori Railway that are accessible with the pass, and I traveled comfortably without needing to purchase tickets other than for reserved seats. However, since the minimum validity period is 5 days, it was a shame that I, as a regular office worker who didn't use annual leave, couldn't utilize all 5 days. Even though I only used it for 2 days, it still saved me more than the cost I would have incurred without the pass. A round trip on the Shinkansen alone costs 300,000 won, wow... If I had more time, I could have used it more effectively, but I had to return for work on Monday. I will definitely use it again next time.♡♡♡

El pase valió la pena, tomé el tren de ida y vuelta de Tokio a Sendai, y también lo usé para visitar Matsushima y Morioka desde Sendai. También fue muy útil poder reservar asientos gratis con anticipación. Lo único es que hay que tener en cuenta dónde se puede canjear el pase. Había una larga cola en la oficina de JR en el aeropuerto de Haneda, así que pensé en canjearlo en Tokio ya que solo planeaba empezar a usarlo unos días después. Al principio pensé que podía canjearlo en la estación de Shinagawa (basado en mi experiencia de hace algunos años) pero el personal me dijo que fuera a Takanawa Gateway o a la estación de Tokio. Intenté en Takanawa Gateway, pero parecía haber sido recientemente renovado y no existía ninguna oficina. Así que no tuve más remedio que ir a la estación de Tokio. Fue bueno que pude hacerlo en JR Cafe ya que no había ninguna cola allí. Por cierto, intenté ver si era posible canjearlo yo mismo en la máquina expendedora de billetes. Pudo escanear mi pasaporte, pero en el siguiente paso no tenía un código QR para escanear, así que supongo que es imposible. De todos modos, disfruté mucho mi viaje a Tohoku.
