I found the Tokyo Subway Pass incredibly convenient, and I would definitely purchase it again. During my trip, I used both the 72-hour and 24-hour passes, and the unlimited rides made it much easier to explore Tokyo. We did encounter a little confusion initially when redeeming the tickets – we weren't sure which machine to use. Once we asked a station attendant and showed them our phones, they immediately directed us to the correct machine, and everything was straightforward after that. One thing to remember is that the pass doesn't cover every single train line in Tokyo. For example, when we went to the Ghibli Museum bakery in Mitaka, one of the routes there wasn't included. It wasn't a big deal – we just paid the difference – but it's something to be aware of when planning your routes. Overall, these passes offer great value, are easy to use once activated, and are very convenient for exploring the city. Highly recommended!

For the Skyliner, it is not very convenient for those with two or more pieces of luggage, or for first-time travelers, especially if you are with seniors. It can be fast-paced, and you may need to place your luggage in designated areas. Exits can also be crowded with other travelers, particularly during peak season. Be sure to check your train's car number in addition to your seat number and letter. However, it is a fast mode of transport, and tickets are easily obtained by following the instructions and pictures in the app. For the subway, I had planned to get my tickets at Nippori station, but I couldn't find the machine, and a staff member I asked said it was available at Ueno. Once at Ueno, following the video and pictures made it convenient. Using it was very easy; if you entered through the wrong entrance (which we did twice), going back didn't cost anything. You can literally go anywhere in Tokyo as long as you choose a train line it covers. Even though it took us longer and we had to change trains more often, it was still a breeze.

Purchase online, and once you arrive in downtown Tokyo, find a subway station machine. Scan the QR code, and the machine will print out your ticket. Remember to keep it safe.
