This was my first time visiting for the lunch buffet since the restaurant renovation, and it was for a friend's birthday. The food quality was very high, with oysters, king crab legs, sashimi, chilled shrimp, and chilled conch available. While the variety wasn't extensive, freshness was paramount. It was a shame that on a Saturday, the restaurant was only about half full; I hope business improves in the future. The biggest surprise was the bar staff, who made specialty drinks for guests on the spot. Besides regular coffee or tea, she could also prepare iced lattes (no ice, no sugar) or coffee tonics. My friends and I were all very happy, eating and chatting slowly from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. It was a great weekend activity, and I highly recommend everyone try it!

It's a buy-one-get-one-free deal, and for the price of this lunch, there's an unexpectedly large amount of food, so it's no wonder the place was packed. The desserts, in particular, were very thoughtfully prepared and unique, including mango Napoleon, durian pancakes, crème brûlée mochi puffs, taro egg waffles, several kinds of soft cookies, and various Movenpick ice cream flavors. They were truly impressive and delicious. The seafood, such as oysters, shrimp, and clams, was standard, and surprisingly, there were even lobster claws. The salad was good. The hot dishes and Chinese options were average and could be improved. The Japanese sashimi wasn't cut to order; it was pre-cut and available for self-service, and the quality was just okay. Sushi, cold noodles, and similar items weren't particularly exciting. The service was normal. Overall, this meal offered excellent value for money, and I would definitely come again.

This time, we booked the dinner buffet for a birthday celebration. The last time I visited was three years ago for the lunch buffet. While the variety of food isn't extensive, the quality is excellent. I'm grateful to the restaurant for arranging a window seat for us this time; the view was lovely. The evening atmosphere is much better than during the day. There weren't too many diners, and everyone was very orderly when getting food, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a quiet and comfortable environment. 👍🏻 A special mention goes to the attentive staff who constantly checked if any plates needed to be cleared. They even prepared a small cake and took photos of us with the night view from the window sill. 🙂 The theme of this buffet was Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes like sukiyaki and caviar wagyu sushi, which suited my current preference for lighter meals. Additionally, the ginseng chicken soup had a strong ginseng flavor without being too overpowering; I had three extra servings! The desserts were decent, and there was a good selection of homemade gelato flavors. One highlight was the unique baked goods; I even made my own mini pineapple bun. 🤭

It's just a short walk from the bus stop or MTR station, making it incredibly accessible. The restaurant's overall design is very distinctive, blending a nostalgic, retro cinematic feel with modern, stylish comfort. The moment you step inside, you feel relaxed and happy. Impeccable Staff Service 💯 I especially want to commend the service attitude of all the front-line staff that day! From the hosts seating guests, to the plate clearers, and the chefs at each food station, everyone was smiling, polite, and attentive. Plates were cleared very quickly and efficiently, never allowing empty dishes to pile up on the table. They were constantly attentive to guests' needs, making everyone feel truly welcome and well-cared for. Exceptionally High-Quality Seafood & Food 🦀 What impressed me most was the abundance and quality of the food! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and cold dishes like oysters and bread crabs were replenished extremely quickly; I never saw an empty platter. The hot food selection was diverse, and whether it was roasted beef, roasted lamb leg, flavorful cooked dishes, or delicate dim sum, the seasoning was perfect. You could really feel the dedication of the culinary team. The dessert section was the perfect ending, with a wide selection of ice cream and various exquisite mini cakes, all of which were on par with high-end dessert shops. In summary: The Astor demonstrates exceptionally high standards in terms of ambiance, service, and food, offering excellent value for money. This is definitely a dining experience that makes you want to return again. I highly recommend it to all friends who appreciate great food and excellent service!

The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!

The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel's buffet, "Steaming Hot All-You-Can-Eat Lobster, Unbeatable!" is the ultimate choice for a satisfying and abundant buffet. The food selection is rich and delicious, featuring both Chinese and Western dishes, and the buy-one-get-one-free price offers great value! However, because all the food options are incredibly tempting, even though I come here to enjoy the dinner buffet once or twice a month, I truly can't try everything! So, don't worry about the line for the "hot lobster" being longer than an army; many people, including myself, only eat half or one lobster. The reason is to save room for exploring all sorts of other delicious foods. You'll be surprised to find that soon "no one is queuing for lobster, because all the other delicacies are too good!" Also, the staff are polite and incredibly quick at clearing plates, true professional "plate-clearing specialists" – but they don't clear alien UFO "flying saucers." So, you definitely won't find any trace or information about the Hong Kong Marriott Hotel's "Pier Lounge & Bar" buffet's "generational plate-clearing specialists" in the recently declassified U.S. "UFO flying saucer files"! Haha!

Láttam egy Youtuber ajánlását, és nagyon el akartam menni a Yammba svédasztalos vacsorára. A Klookon kedvezmény volt, úgyhogy azonnal lefoglaltam. Minden étel nagyon finom volt; a abalone és a halhólyag elég puha és ízletes volt, a sashimi között pedig itt még a ritka fésűkagyló is megtalálható volt. A hideg ételek választéka is nagyon széles volt: volt benne homár, tarisznyarák, rákolló, borotvakagyló, homárolló, kagyló, fekete kagyló, csiga és így tovább. A wagyu marhahúsos agyagedényes rizs, a wagyu sukiyaki és a sült marhahús mind nagyon finomak voltak. A char siu kellően sovány és szaftos volt, a pekingi kacsa is finom volt. Volt nyárson sült nagyméretű rák, tempura és libamájas pirítós. A desszertek választéka nagy, a tofu pudinghoz saját maga adhat vörösbabot, az elrendezés szép és finom is. A hideg és meleg italok választéka is bőséges, beleértve a gyümölcsleveket, a saját készítésű hideg-meleg citromteát, a kávét, és külön kávéfőző is van a különböző kávékhoz. A fagylalt poharas Häagen-Dazs. Sokféle ételt szerettem volna még egyszer kérni, de a gyomrom kvótája már betelt. Nagyon régóta nem volt részem ilyen finom svédasztalos vacsorában. Május 29-én a Kowloon Whampoa Harbour Grand Hotelben fogyasztottunk el egy bőséges svédasztalos ebédet (12:00-14:30). Az ár nem volt magas, ár-érték arányban kiváló volt. Az ételek választéka hatalmas, a minőség és az íz garantált. A szálloda személyzete kiváló szolgáltatást nyújtott, már többször is jártunk itt, és soha nem volt semmi panaszunk. Az asztalunk közel volt az ételekhez, mivel ketten voltunk, és az egyikünk idős, így kértük, hogy könnyen hozzáférhessünk az ételekhez. A környezet kellemes volt, a padlótól a mennyezetig érő ablakok világosak voltak, bár a légkondicionálás kissé elégtelen volt, de ez nem jelentett nagy problémát. Ami az ételeket illeti, volt sült marhahús, amit a legjobban szeretek, lazac sashimi, polip, friss fésűkagyló, friss vörös garnélarák – minden friss volt. A sütemények és desszertek is kielégítőek voltak. Az evőeszközökből néha kevés volt, de gyorsan pótolták, valószínűleg a konyha nem tudta elég gyorsan elmosni és cserélni őket. Összességében öt csillagot adnék, teljesen elégedett vagyok.

Teltház van, az ételek választéka megfelelő, a személyzet gyorsan leszedi a tányérokat, a szakácsok kedvesek és előzékenyek. Mivel a hely nem nagy, a korlátozott térben a lehető legtöbb ételt helyezték el, de az asztalok elég kicsik, és közel vannak egymáshoz. A vacsora közepén születésnapi tortával köszöntötték az ünnepeltet, aki így fotózkodhatott is, ráadásul valaki gitározott és születésnapi dalt énekelt a hangulat fokozása érdekében. A fotózás után egy csengőszóval jelezték, hogy sorba lehet állni a vegyes gyümölcsös napóleon-torta szeletekért, ami ízletes volt. Az este legfinomabb étele a grillezett marhanyelv és a személyenként járó egy-egy tányér thai uborkás abalone (tengeri fülcsiga) volt. Valójában a Royal Garden svédasztalos étterem 99%-ban zárt tér, ritkák az ablak melletti helyek, de én ma este valamiért az ablak közelében kaptam helyet, így este nyolckor megnézhettem a Viktória-kikötő fény- és lézershow-ját, aminek nagyon örültem.
