This place was a saviour - our son had an unfortunate incident on a beach in Okinawa where he had to keep his foot nonweightbearing for 2 weeks. I was not going to spoil the rest of our trip in Kyoto and I found this place. the electric wheelchair was foldable, so easy to use. Rented it for about $100 total for 3days. He breezed thru the streets of Kyoto and others without issues.

Our photographer, Nico, was great! She helped direct our poses and brought props for us to use (umbrella, fans). We loved the photoshoot locations she took us to, especially since we would not have found some of those locations ourselves. The photos are lovely and we had a great experience!

Fantastic 5.0
We have had a few photograph sessions over the years in our various travels. Rin was by far the best photographer!!! We truly enjoyed our experience with her. We did not know how to pose and she posed us so naturally and made the session so much fun. She worked very hard to make sure other people weren’t in our photos using different angles and location. We know this was especially hard as it is very busy during peak cherry blossom season. We appreciate her so much. This photography was especially important because we got engaged. She was informed ahead of time and made sure to give us the best spot!!! Thank you so much for making our special day even more memorable! Also, we were allowed 10 touch up photos but really didn’t even need it they were so good already. Her positive attitude and love of photography was so pleasant. I wouldn’t use anyone else if I could use her again!! We are including the unedited photos so you see how amazing she is!! thank you, Rin!! <3

They only focus on photography services, which made me feel that they are very professional. That’s also one of the reasons why I chose them. Before the photoshoot, if you need to wear a kimono, the photographer is also very helpful and can recommend a good kimono rental shop. After the shoot, the photographer even recommended some authentic Japanese restaurants for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I really enjoyed every part of it. Highly recommended!

What to know before visiting Kyoto

Quick snapshot of Kyoto’s visitor rhythm

Kyoto’s top Klook categories are tours, cultural experiences and museums, and demand peaks strongly in April with a big spring high while dipping in August. Most bookings cluster around seasonal highlights, so the city’s year feels punctuated by busy spring months and quieter late-summer and early-autumn stretches.

When to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data shows April as the busiest month and August as the quietest. Prices drift up and down through the year: Klook’s monthly pricing peaks in September while the lowest typical prices appear in June, so demand and price don’t move in perfect lockstep. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, plan for June or August; if you want peak-season atmosphere and the busiest sights, aim for April and the surrounding spring months.

Tips for travellers from the United States

Most experiences in Kyoto can be booked fairly close to travel — Klook data shows typical bookings happen around seven days ahead, with many last-minute options available about a day before. For peak-month travel in April, consider booking earlier (closer to the 26-day early-booking window) to secure popular tours and cultural experiences; otherwise, a spontaneous trip works well and you can often find slots on short notice.
