this was such a fun and lovely experience! my boyfriend and I booked the last class the day of, and we had a personalized session. the two instructors are so friendly, thoughtful, and sweet! they really took the time to get to know us, and they customized our certificates based on things we said we liked! I highly recommend booking a class here.

We loved the tour with Moto; he was super friendly and attentive. The bars he showed us were very local, which gave us an authentic experience of Japanese nightlife. We also learned a lot about sake, about Japanese food that pairs well with the drinks, and we met people from other parts of the world with whom we shared the experience. At the last bar, Mr. 2 was also very friendly, and he was the one who recommended a spectacular ramen place to end the night, and it was a total success! A fun, authentic, and highly recommended experience.

So much fun! I recommend going early in the morning like I did - I think I had approx 10-15 mins with the pigs by myself before other patrons joined. Very clean establishment.

I had the chance to visit Yamazaki Distillery along with the Asahi Art Museum, and honestly, it was an experience I will never forget. The weather was a little gloomy that day, but it actually made the visit feel even more special and peaceful. What truly made the tour stand out was our guide, Yumi. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about what she does. The way she explained the history and craftsmanship behind Yamazaki whisky made everything feel alive and meaningful. It didn’t feel like a tour it felt like a story being shared Walking through the distillery and then visiting the art museum was the perfect balance of culture, history, and beauty. This was without a doubt one of the most wonderful tours of my life, and a big part of that is thanks to Yumi. I’m truly grateful for such a memorable experience and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan.

I found the event very inspiring – I was able to sit very close to the front, participated in the tea ceremony, and had the chance to take good photos. The food was good and plentiful. The host spoke clearly enough for me to follow everything well. But the biggest praise goes to Meiko, who designed every part of the event very well. Highly recommended!

Jamie was great and informative! The walking was a bit more vigorous and longer than we expected and it was a bit of a challenge to keep up given our physical conditions, but the food experiences were great, diverse, representative of local traditional foods and unusual.

Brian Hamilton was our guide and he made our night out a great experience. We initially thought that we were going to be with a big group but it ended up becoming a private tour since there were only 4 of us. We loved how he incorporated the educational aspect of Old Kyoto while introducing us to areas of the more Modern Kyoto of today. The hidden restaurants we visited had amazing food and we enjoyed every bite. I would definitely recommend this tour and ask for Brian!!! You will not be disappointed!
