Since our hotel was not far from Kyoto Tower, we were able to walk there. That was very convenient. Entry was quick with no long wait. It might take a bit longer around sunset. Once we got to the top, we really enjoyed the view and would definitely come back here anytime. From our perspective - 10 out of 10 points.
When you exit Kyoto Station through the Central Gate, look for the Nidec Kyoto Tower. Take the elevator to the 11th floor and redeem your ticket in front of the staff. Then, you can enjoy the view of Kyoto city. We went during sunset on a clear day with no clouds. The view was really beautiful.
Affordable and a very nice view of the city! It gives you an idea of how many things there are to see in Tokyo. Being right in front of the station, it's very convenient when arriving in the city or as the last thing to do before leaving. Honorable mention for the binoculars... FREE!
I always get fascinated with towers and heights. I had a wonderful time in the observation deck. Although I also have fear of heights but I love the adrenalin it gave. Nice view of Kyoto from up there.
We visited Nidec Kyoto Tower and it was a wonderful experience! Located just right across our hotel, Ibis Styles Kyoto Station, and very close to the Kyoto Train Station, it was super convenient to access. The tower offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Kyoto cityscape, giving us a great perspective of both the modern and traditional sides of the city. We booked our tickets through Klook, which made the process quick and hassle-free—just show the voucher and go. My clients and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at the top, and it was a perfect way to start or end a day of exploring. If you’re staying near Kyoto Station, this is a must-visit spot. Klook made it even easier with instant confirmation and smooth entry. Highly recommended for a quick but meaningful sightseeing experience in Kyoto!
I’ve seen a lot of viewdeck and this is worth visiting! I would suggest going here at night. Went late in the afternoon and I was able to see the sunset. Regret not staying long enough to see the spectacular night view.
The ticket can be redeemed easily upon entering the tower. The staff were patient as my link is having a problem when they need to scan my QR code. It was nice seeing Kyoto from a different perspective and we are able to enjoy our time there as it was not that crowded when we visited the tower.
An excellent way to get perspective on the beautiful city of Kyoto from up high. Not crowded around 5pm, moved around easily and used the free telescopes. And we were given a free B&W photo of us as we left! Plus there are delicious food stores at the base of the tower. A lovely experience.
