Our stay at Richmond hotel was excellent! The room was spacious enough, there were complimentary drinks and snacks at evenings, the amenities bar had everything one might need.

was a great hotel. Rooms were larger then regular Japan double rooms. Breakfast was great, as well as all the services they offer. Free drinks in the afternoon and evening, as well. Free afternoon activity in relation to the season.

The Richmond is a very nice hotel. Book with confidence. English speakers are welcomed and they make sure you get everything you need. Location: near the Kyoto JR train station and Bullet train. Tough walk with bags but it was only 1000 yen for the two of us. Down the street from the central bus station which can take you everywhere in the city. You will need to ask but it's convenient. Rooms are quiet and clean and have WIFI. Breakfast in the morning was great! It's a little pricey at 3500 yen but it's all-you-can-eat and it's so convenient.No pool or exercise room. Front desk and greeters are exceptional.

It takes a bit of walk from Kyoto with luggage boxes, though it’s manageable. Breakfast is in a small place but the choices and quality is good. the room is comfortable and the hotel over is stylish. just expensive as other Kyoto hotel. Staff are Japanese, very polite with smile and can speak fluent english which is praise worthy. there are afternoon tea and evening drinks session with a happy choices of sake and beer and some small snacks. the famous clam ramen just next door always with long queue till 11pm+ but just average. I will not queue again.

the hotel is conveniently located near Kyoto station and infront there is a city bus stop as well. there are lots of freebies (food). but the cleaning was not suffiecient, they didnt even get the empty/used cup. but overall it was a great stay.

very nice hotel with nice service within a short walk of Kyoto station. There is also free ice cream and beverages at night free of charge. There is a small work shop on the first floor where we got to make tatami coasters. overall 5/5 experience.
