Zhangjiajie

Had an amazing two days. this two day tour is worth doing. highly recommend, however, there are hidden costs so be mindful. our guide Doris is such a lovely warm person, very helpful, respectful and on her way to becoming a No.1 tour guide.

I booked the 2-day Classic Zhangjiajie tour through Klook, and it exceeded my expectations! From the moment I booked, I received prompt communication and clear pre-trip information. As a solo traveler, I didn't have to worry about planning my itinerary, transportation, or attraction tickets—everything was perfectly organized. Our tour guide was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. She planned the itinerary efficiently, covering Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the breathtaking Yuanjiajie Avatar Peaks, and Tianmen Mountain. She also helped us skip long ticket queues, shared useful hiking tips, and kept us updated on the weather. Transportation was punctual and comfortable, and the local meals were authentic and delicious. The mist-covered sandstone peaks were simply breathtaking. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making the trip smooth and unforgettable. I highly recommend this Klook tour and hope to return one day with my family!

Although the itinerary was packed and full, our experienced tour leader meticulously planned all the routes, saving us a lot of time. The meals were good, but the biggest surprise was how unexpectedly comfortable the hotel was. The room was huge, or perhaps I was lucky enough to get an upgrade, and the bathroom even had a bathtub! 😂

We had wonderful trip and experience. Small group tour, feel private, kind and nige tour mate. The transportation that we used going around also really clean and comfy. Really worth it for this tour, save alot our time and we visited many places. Specially out tour guide Zhang Fangfang really kind and help us alot. She arrage everything for us and gave us some recommendation of restaurants, helped us arrange our transport to railway station, and also took many pictures of me and my husband. Really worth it 👍👍

tour guide: My tour guide (Mr Peng) was 100% on the ball from the start, he looked out for everyone of us before during n even after the tour. He warn us of some unnecessarily spending money. whenever we need more food, he will help us order. knowledge of the tour guide was top notch accomodation options: hotel is well booked n planned itinerary: everything was space out well

The guide 小橙子 was very conscientious and passionate in doing her job even though it was really challenging for one guide to be leading so many different groups. She was cheerful and knowledgeable and was skilful in managing expectations and knew her way around the various attractions very well. The first transfer from the airport was no good because the four of us with a few large pieces of luggage were assigned a normal saloon car which resulted in four of us having to squeeze at the back row behind the driver. The last two hotels were especially good and served good breakfast! Overall strongly recommended!

The vehicle provided was too small for the number of travelers. There were 4 of us, but they used a Nissan Sylphy, which made the back seat very cramped; we had to squeeze in. Also, the travel time between each tourist spot was quite long, with the longest being 4 hours. For such long journeys, a better vehicle should be provided, ideally a more spacious one, to ensure the comfort of the tour group. The itinerary should also provide more detailed information, such as how many nights of accommodation and how many meals are included. Some of the accommodations did not match the 4-star rating advertised online. The worst room on the trip was at Puhe, where water leaked out of the shower, and the air conditioning didn't work. The room was not ready for guests but was still provided to us. Only 3 lunches were included, along with 4 hotel breakfasts. The guide was very helpful, even though they only spoke Chinese. Some locations were quite far, so the itinerary should be better organized. For example, on the day we went to Fenghuang, we didn't arrive until after 8 PM. The activity was dressing up for photos, and while I enjoyed it, the timing was brutal; we didn't get to bed until 2 AM, and then had to leave again at 9 AM. There were also activities that required additional payment, such as watching the Miao tribe show.

I highly recommend this tour group if you plan to visit Zhangjiajie during the summer. Despite the scorching heat, with temperatures soaring above 104°F (40°C) these past few days, our guide, Mr. Zhang, was incredibly professional and meticulous. He helped us navigate each attraction smoothly and quickly, avoiding crowds and long lines. The hotel arrangements were particularly impressive, including the best hotel in Fenghuang Ancient Town and a secluded hotel with breathtaking views of clouds and sunrises, which other tours don't offer. Every dish at the restaurants was delicious. All optional activities were arranged with our preferences in mind, and there was absolutely no pressure to participate. He clearly explained the history of each site. Finally, he accompanied us on the Fenghuang boat tour and provided detailed instructions on how to get a taxi, which was incredibly thoughtful for non-Chinese tourists. The high-speed rail and comfortable nine-seater bus made the journey pleasant throughout. It was a truly perfect trip to Zhangjiajie, earning two big thumbs up! Guide:
