Ho Chi Minh Cooking classes

Did the market tour + cooking class and didn’t regret choosing this option. The market tour not only showed us what ingredients they use and where it came from but also gave us suggestions on where we could buy it (great for people wanting to bring home the exact spices used in the class). The cooking class was very interactive and had a good instructor that didn’t rush us when we struggled with some steps. The dishes we made were also really delicious and it was so cool that each student had the chance to flambé the meat we used for the salad. Would recommend for those wanting to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine or maybe for those who simply want to have fun while eating good food🫶

Amazing experience... going to the market with Chef Helenand her assistant at first and buying the fresh ingredients for the recipes.. back to M.O.M studio and we have learned to cook 4 vietnames recipes ..

Our experience was absolutely outstanding! Chef Vivian and the entire staff were so friendly and welcoming. Chef Vivian really knows her craft and kept the whole class fun and entertaining from start to finish. She even shared great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Kudos to Chef Vivian and the team for an unforgettable experience. We had such an amazing time and highly recommend this class!

I found out that the restaurant where I had a delicious meal on my previous trip to Vietnam offered a cooking class tour, so I arranged it. In the morning, I took a Grab (self-arranged) from the hotel to the meeting point at the market. From 8:00 AM, Chef Phu and the other participants (a father and son from Taiwan, a cheerful couple from the Philippines, and two of us cooking enthusiasts from Japan) listened to Chef Phu's friendly and cheerful explanations while touring dried goods, grains, fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, and chè. We moved to the kitchen in a taxi arranged by the chef. We learned while relaxing, with considerations to avoid fatigue, such as sitting down to cut vegetables in a system where we cooked and ate three dishes. The quantity was so generous that we didn't need lunch, and the taste was excellent. There were so many dishes I wanted to recreate after returning home. Finally, while enjoying a dessert of white balls in ginger syrup prepared by the chef, we joined the classmates even though we only spoke simple English, asked the chef questions, and had a wonderful four hours. A local Vietnamese madam who hadn't participated in the market tour joined us from the kitchen. Everyone was interested and asked about the seasoning because they were using very good fish sauce in the lesson. I was convinced that "Hoa Tuc" is an attractive restaurant even for locals. I heard that they make different dishes on different days of the week, so I would like to change the day and participate again when I visit Vietnam. The lesson, a cute recipe book, and photos with everyone became souvenirs for myself.

It was an amazing experience. Bao was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, spoke fluent English, and happily answered all of our questions. Because it was a private tour, everything felt very personalized—our needs were always met. We could stop for bathroom breaks whenever needed, and Bao even helped substitute fruits to desserts to match our preferences, including swapping out coconut. I got to try fruits I had seen in the market, and we were welcomed with snacks and bottled water upon arrival. The bike ride to the market was relaxing with beautiful scenery along the way. The farm was lovely, with many animals and a wide variety of vegetables. I have my own garden at home, so it was especially amazing to see how local Vietnamese gardens are grown and cared for.

i joined this cooking class as a birthday treat to myself. It looked like a private class because I was the only student who booked during that time. From squeezing a coconut, to exchanging conversations with Chef Oanh. This is surely one for the books. Although overwhelmed, I enjoyed every step it took to make two dishes. I am grateful for this experience. Chef Oanh, I hope you love the taste of Adobong Squid 🐙

My family and I enjoyed the cooking class. They made it easy by picking us up from our accommodation in the morning for a cyclo ride. For those scared of the Saigon traffic this is quite exciting! It’s a great way to experience the city. We were met at the markets by Van who met with different vendors to buy our produce. She showed us what to look for and it was great being able to buy more local products. At the cooking class Chef Vu was entertaining and informative. I liked how we each got to cook our own food, rather than just watching one person make the meal. it was a fun hands on experience and there was so much food to eat. I’d recommend this tour to friends visiting Saigon.

I really enjoyed the experience of making coffee myself. We made two versions, southern Vietnam and northern Vietnam. This is the best coffee because it is made with your own hands with the addition of all the necessary ingredients, without skimping. The event takes 1 hour, but making something with your own hands is priceless. I recommend it to everyone!
