It looks us 1 hour drive from Hoi An Old Town to My Son Sanctuary. Luckily our tour guide shared quite a few stories about the history of Hoi An, and My Son Sanctuary, which makes the 1 hour ride fruitful, and less boring. At My Son, he guides us through the entrance to the electric tram station, ride to the center of sanctuary and walk to the temples and building structure of the 13th century. The view of the red brick structure is really amazing. Every spot we went, he explained to us the histories of craving & stones. We are given 30 minutes to explore the sites, and going back to the theater for the Champa Dance Performance at 10:30am. Out of 3 performance, the one blowing trumpet amazed every audience, as he blows non-stop without changing his breath for nearly 3 minutes. After visiting My Son, we were brought to a local place, namely Turtle's Place Villa for a local lunch, and came back to Hoi An Old Town by riding a boat at the Thu Bon River. Truly enjoy the tour! Recommended!

This private tour to Hue was excellent and exactly as described. We visited all the highlights on the itinerary, including the Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Tomb, and Tu Duc Tomb. The guide shared many interesting historical facts and gave us enough time to explore each place while keeping the day well organized. Typical Hue itineraries include these major imperial landmarks. The drive was comfortable and efficient, and being on a private tour made a huge difference. We were able to move quickly between attractions, avoid unnecessary waiting, and focus on the most interesting parts of each site. Unlike some other popular destinations, Hue didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Lunch was served at a quiet, peaceful restaurant, and the food was delicious. We left at 8:00 AM as scheduled and returned around 5:00 PM, exactly as advertised. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and we were very happy with the experience.

Had an amazing day tour to Hue exploring Vietnam's historical heritage! This was by far the best handled guided tour I've taken. Our guide, Tâm, messaged the pickup time in advance and met me right at the hotel entrance. We took the tunnel instead of the Hai Van Pass, but Tâm gave us a great history overview along the way, including a nice coffee break at a lagoon. The Highlights: Khai Dinh Tomb: Incredibly beautiful and unique architecture. Lunch: A wonderful group meal at a lovely hotel. Tâm perfectly handled my dietary restrictions. Thien Mu Pagoda: Stunning views and even better architecture. The Imperial Citadel: Amazing!! I’ve never seen such a beautifully restored palace. It was worth every bit of the heat. Quick Tip: The 2.5-hour drive is very comfortable and great for a nap. Definitely bring a hat and stay hydrated, as walking around the sites gets really hot. Overall, an incredible experience!

It was a truly great and memorable experience for us. Our tour guide Mr. Nam and our driver, Mr. Han were both very accomodating, kind and professional. It was actually a bit rainy on the day of our tour, but we still managed to enjoy all the activities and make the most out our trip. Mr. Nam is very friendly and helpful throughout the tour. I really appreciated how he guide us, shared important information and helpful tips about the places we visited . We enjoyed and appreciate the places we visit plus the food that he recommends to us to try. He even share some important informations and tips to the places we are visiting and how we can enjoy the activities. We enjoyed the whole trip even i have a senior citizen mom and 2 nieces (ages 13 and 16), everything was just a memorable exprience that add-up to our bucket list. Thank you again to Mr. Nam and Mr. Han. * I also appreciate how Mr. Nam ALWAYS offer to take our pictures and videos. his gestures is truly commendable!

What to know before visiting Hoi An

Hoi An at a glance: what draws travellers here

Hoi An’s busiest bookings on Klook cluster around cruises, theme parks and guided tours, with cultural experiences and historical sites also popular. Demand rises and falls through the year, giving the city a clear high season and quieter stretches for travellers seeking a calmer pace.

When to visit: crowds and prices over the year

Klook data show demand peaks in April and falls to its lowest in December; January, June and July also see relatively strong interest while November and October are noticeably quieter. Prices on Klook are unusually steady across the year, so cost doesn’t fluctuate much even when demand does. For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in the quieter months such as December or November; for the peak-season atmosphere choose April or the other busy months. Because prices remain flat while demand moves, you trade crowd levels rather than big ticket savings when you pick your month.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book activities in Hoi An only a couple of days ahead, so flexibility works well — many experiences can be arranged at short notice. If you plan to travel in April or other peak months, consider locking in your preferred cruises or popular cultural experiences a week or so in advance to secure availability. Use Klook to compare options and confirm bookings early when you want specific time slots or group tours.
