Home to the world's longest tube water slide (that spans an incredible length of 1,111m!), ESCAPE Theme Park is a must-visit fun land when in Penang. Set amidst nature on what was once a 44-acre construction wasteland, the theme park is surrounded by lush greens and offers over 30 thrilling activities including ziplining, water slides, rope courses, rock climbing, and more - all in one space!

The theme park was inspired by the founder's mischievous childhood in his kampong, where he spent most of his days climbing trees, diving into the pond from a treetop, and racing downhill with his friends on makeshift bicycles. The founder wanted to build a theme park that would provide kids and adults with the most natural form of fun and adventure. Thus, ESCAPE Penang was born.

Getting To ESCAPE

ESCAPE Penang is located in Teluk Bahang, George Town. It's close to Batu Ferringhi and a short drive from the main city centre. You can drive over or even access it by public buses (Rapid Penang 101 and 102 Bus).

Age Restrictions

ESCAPE believes that there is no age limit to having fun, thus most of the rides and games within the theme park are designed for a wide range of age groups, abilities, and energy levels! The little ones will have just as much fun as the young at heart adults. There are however certain height, weight, and age restrictions for selected attractions, which we've included details below!

What To Wear

To maximize your fun and comfort at ESCAPE, dress comfortably in airy sports clothing, and pants or shorts! You are also required to wear close-toed shoes at selected areas of the park (Adventureplay & Gravityplay) for safety reasons.

ESCAPE Penang is divided into two main sections - an Adventureplay Park with thrilling activities like bungee jumping and tree climbing, and a Waterplay Park that guarantees you a splashing good time. Here are our favourite attractions within the park that we'd recommend you to try out:

Longest Tube Water Slide [star attraction]

Pretty much the star attraction of ESCAPE Penang, the world's longest tube water slide runs a length of 1,111m and is surrounded by lush greens! Giggle your way down in a single or double tube.

**Longest Zip Coaster in the World [*new attraction***]

In May 2022, ESCAPE Penang unveiled yet another exciting Guinness World Record star attraction - the longest zip coaster in the world. Stretching a length of over 1.1km, the adrenaline-pumping zip coaster in ESCAPE Penang combines elements of a roller coaster and a zip line. Once you've put on your helmet and harness, you'll be set for a thrilling journey of whizzing through lush greenery while suspended above tree tops.

The 6-minute zip coaster ride will bring visitors through dramatic climbs, thrilling dips, and exhilarating turns, and is likely to be as close as you can be to what Tarzan feels as he dangles from tree to tree. 🌳

**First Ski Slope in Malaysia [*new attraction***]

In November 2022, ESCAPE Penang unveiled the first ski slope in Malaysia! While there's no snow and no need to whip out your winter jacket here, the specially built dry ski slope still offers a fun taste of skiing and snowboarding before you fly out for the real thing. ⛷

The 302-metre-long ski slope in ESCAPE Penang consists of two sections - one suited for beginners (with a mostly straight slope and just one basic curve) and another for more experienced or adventurous skiers (you can expect a steeper incline and more challenging curves at this one). So even if you're a complete beginner, you'll have plenty of space to take your time and learn the ropes!

**Dead Sea Pool [*new attraction***]

Besides the new ski park, another fresh addition to the theme park is a dead sea pool which takes inspiration from the famous Salt Lake in Jordan. Unlike normal chlorine-filled pools, dead sea pools are filled with mineral-rich water that not only promise a fun time but are also said to typically offer relaxation and natural health benefits. The new dead sea pool at ESCAPE Penang is 4 metres deep and filled with saltwater that will allow you to float naturally even if you don't know how to swim.

Kite Flyer

Ever looked up into the sky at a graceful kite wishing you could fly? Kite Flyer is an experience that will help you fulfill your childhood dreams of soaring high in the sky. However, don't be fooled that it's going to be a graceful and gentle ride, because the experience is far from mild and might even leave you screaming!

Tubby Racer

Hop on a tubby tube and enjoy an exhilarating journey downhill! If you're visiting with your friends and family, you can even link several tubby tubes and whizz down together. Pssst, the staff at ESCAPE will even oil the base of your tube to maximize your downhill speed, so make sure you hang on tight when you're on it!

Monkey Business

Monkey Business consists of three levels for you to challenge your limits with a range of exciting obstacle courses fit for monkeys! Perfect your balancing skills, attempt to climb like a pro, and achieve heights you could only dream of through this challenging rope course.

Banana Flip

Shaped like a harmless banana yet guaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush - this one's definitely a crowd-favourite at ESCAPE Penang! Step onto a platform at the top of the slide, wait for the staff to push the lever, and you'll be sent into a complete free fall. The slide is curved upwards at the end so expect to be launched into the air like a cannonball - you can even attempt to do a cartwheel or pose for the camera before diving into the pool!

Speed Racer

Feeling competitive? Find out who's the best racer in your group on this ride! Feel the wind in your hair and watch your surroundings transform into a blur as you zoom down this colourful slide.

Family Twister

If you're visiting with your family, make sure you add this slide to your checklist! Perfect for families or a group of friends, Family Twister consists of 3 slides at varying heights that you can choose from - even your little ones will squeal with delight when they hop on this ride.

Lazy River

The Lazy River has no thrill factor, but it's great for some downtime after all that swinging around and twisting slide rides! Take your time, lay back on a tube, and soak in the vibes of your surrounding - allow yourself to just go with the flow instead of always rushing through things.

Play House

Filled with colourful slides and water guns, the Play House is the star attraction for the little ones who love splashing around! Rest assured though that it's fun even for the adults, and suitable for all ages. Make sure you stand beneath the bucket and enjoy getting splashed when it gets filled up!

Atan's Leap

Would you challenge yourself to this leap of faith? If you've always wanted to try bungee jumping, your chance in here. Overcome your fear of heights and hop off the platform after putting on your safety harness - eyes wide open or closed, it's up to you!

Gecko Tower

Challenge your strength and stamina as you make your way up this tower like a sticky-footed gecko! The tower may look daunting but it's actually not that hard to conquer. P/s: there's an auto-belay system installed in the harness, so you're in safe hands even if you lose your grip!
