Chose the Urban King room. Super clean rooms, personalised greeting by TV which makes you feel welcomed and special like a VIP. Toilets were very clean and all toiletries were provided. Most importantly, free breakfast included! There are too many positives about this hotel, and I cannot find any negatives. Definitely deserving of 5 stars!

Fantastic 5.0
Stayed in the suite. Quite enjoyed the stay here with no major issues. Room was quite clean though the mini fridge was broken. Didn't visit the hot springs as there was a tub in our room, and water pressure of the shower was good. Breakfast area was not air conditioned and there might be a queue during peak periods. The staff was nice and great. Location wise, nothing in the immediate area, but close enough to Mount Austin and various malls.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is located close to the start of the Jalan Tan Hiok Nee (which is lined with food eateries) and we appreciated the bellman for guiding us to cross the road and pointed us to the start of the street which we can easily get our breakfast. Room was relatively spacious for the price paid. It was clean and simple, suitable for a one night stay in JB. While the hotel has a green concept with real plants as its decoration , we didn’t experience any mosquitoes. We like the concept of nature meets urban.

Hotel location is excellent as near to KSL mall. Male counter staff are friendly and helpful. Female staff is rude and walk away when customers are approaching, attitude should improve as this hotel is international brand.

What to know before visiting Johor Bahru

Quick snapshot of Johor Bahru and what to expect

Johor Bahru’s Klook bookings are led by theme parks, plus plenty of family-friendly playgrounds and cultural experiences, so the city suits visitors chasing entertainment and easy day-out attractions. Demand rises and falls through the year, with a clear busy pulse around the peak month and quieter stretches in spring.

Best times to visit based on demand and price

Klook data shows the busiest month is January, while March is the quietest month. Prices trend up and down across the year: bookings are typically most expensive around December, and Klook’s historical prices are typically lowest in May. For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider travelling in May or the quieter months in March–April; for peak-season atmosphere and the liveliest attractions, aim for January or December. Overall, demand and prices mostly move together around the year’s peaks and troughs, though December’s higher prices coincide with strong seasonal interest.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book quite close to travel: the typical booking lead time is about one day, and many experiences remain available at short notice. If you want flexibility, you can often book a day or two before; if you’re travelling in the peak months mentioned above, consider reserving earlier — up to around 30 days — to secure popular slots. Use Klook to compare options and lock in tickets once your dates are firm.
