We neglected to realize that this wasnt an english tour, but the tour guide (carp) so kindly accommodated us anyway! All the places we went to were so cool. The trip was an overall massive success on our end!

since the place is far from Tokyo most of the time was taken in the journey. However, The journey itself is very peaceful and scenic. The guide has given the instructions clearly and has been very helpful throughout the trip. major highlights are the Hoshino resorts and clock tower. We couldn't go to shrine,as we reached there after the closing time due to traffic. However there's a museum very near to clock tower that highlights the festival there. It was just 100 yen ticket to enter yet totally worth the experience.

we had a fantastic experience. Our driver Akira, was kind, informative and very helpful throughout the day. We organized and customized our tour and he helped make changes in real time so we could fit everything in during our day. Definitely recommend.

Thank you, Director Liu, for today's tour. You're always so thoughtful and helpful. The weather wasn't great today, so we couldn't visit Kumoba Pond, but I really loved Koedo on the way back. 🥰 I hope to visit Kumoba Pond next time.

Tour guide Ma was very responsible, looking out for everyone, clearly explaining the attractions, and helping with photos. He also managed the time well. Thanks also to the driver. We were worried it would rain, but luckily there wasn't much rain throughout the trip ☺️. Thank you, The M Travel!

Toushin speaks Chinese, so communication was seamless. When we encountered heavy traffic on the first day of the long holiday weekend, they thoughtfully asked if we wanted to take a break at a rest stop before continuing. Pick-ups and drop-offs at each location were also very efficient. I would definitely book a private car service again next time. It was perfect for traveling with my mom and child this time. Five-star rating! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. The free shuttle bus to Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza was very convenient for shopping. The location is peaceful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value.

Hotel was a three minute walk from the station. And a five minute walk to the outlet store. Room was clean and standard by Japan standards. Free coffee and the amenities were great as well

What to know before visiting Kitasaku
What Kitasaku County feels like across the year
Kitasaku County is a rural escape where outdoor and sports activities lead bookings, followed by guided tours and a small number of family-friendly playground options. Demand on Klook shows a strong seasonal rhythm, with a clear winter peak and much quieter late-summer months.
Best months to visit and how prices move
Klook booking data shows demand peaks in February and falls to its lowest in August and September. Prices do not move in step with demand: the priciest month on Klook was August, while the cheapest month typically appears in May. For lower prices and lighter crowds, consider visiting in May or the quieter late-summer months; for peak-season atmosphere and the busiest local vibe, target February.
Tips for travellers from Hong Kong
Most travellers from Hong Kong book in advance by about six days on average, with last-minute bookings possible a day before; if you plan to travel during February, allow more lead time to secure popular outdoor activities. Use Klook to compare available outdoor activities and tours and lock in the ones that suit your schedule a week or two ahead for peace of mind.
