Had so much fun learning to cook Thai dishes and learning about the ingredients. Right after cooking, we got to enjoy our own dishes. Our teacher was really good at explaining everything and was super fun to be with. Too bad we arrived late and missed the market visit. Would love to see more dishes added to the class, but overall, definitely worth it and a must-try experience in Bangkok!

Our family of three participated in the 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM session. We made four dishes, and since we completed every step ourselves, the satisfaction level was very high. The ingredients used were excellent, and we learned and were inspired a great deal. We even made coconut milk ourselves from freshly grated coconut, which is usually familiar to us in cans in Japan. The instructor taught us in a fun and polite manner, using a mix of English and a little Japanese. The dishes we made turned out perfectly! The Tom Yum Goong soup, in particular, was amazing. Our 12-year-old child even customized their soup by omitting chili peppers and cilantro, which they don't like. This is a highly fulfilling tour. While visiting tourist spots is great, we also recommend participating in a tour like this occasionally.

They have a wide selection of Thai traditional outfits, and tutulungan ka nila from fitting to styling. As a Filipino traveler, medyo nakakahiya at first mag-picture mag-isa in full costume, pero once you step out, ang daming nagco-compliment and it becomes part of the experience. Super Instagram-worthy, especially around temples and old streets. Staff were friendly and accommodating, kahit language barrier minsan, they make an effort to guide you. When they found out, I brought some extra stuff with me, may pinadala pa silang ibang accesories and props to complete my other look 🥺🫶🏼 Tip: Go early para less crowd, and bring extra extra confidence 😄

My photographer was Benjamin, and he was incredibly kind. I was very impressed with his posing direction and choice of locations. He made sure I felt relaxed and kept the atmosphere fun throughout the entire shoot. I was also very happy with the hairstyling provided by the studio, and I really appreciated the color recommendations he gave for my outfit.

What to know before visiting Bangkok

What to expect in Bangkok

Bangkok is a bustling city where cruises, massages and animal attractions dominate bookings, with tours and observation decks also popular. Demand peaks in January and dips in August, so the rhythm of the year moves between lively peak months and much quieter late-winter lows. Expect a mix of budget-friendly activities alongside mid-range experiences in the top categories.

Best times to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data shows January is the busiest month while August sees the lightest demand. Prices drift down through the autumn into October and only rise toward a peak in May, so demand and price don’t move perfectly together — January is very busy without being the priciest month, while October is usually the cheapest per Klook data even though it’s not the quietest. For lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting around October through September; for the peak-season atmosphere and highest demand, target January.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most visitors from Australia typically book about four days ahead, with last-minute bookings possible a day out and earlier planning common for big purchases. If you’re travelling in the busiest months (notably January), try to lock in popular cruises or spa treatments a few weeks in advance; for off-peak months you can be more spontaneous. Use Klook to compare options and secure preferred times for popular activities.
