What activities are most popular in Bangkok? Of course, you'll go shopping and eat! It is not surprising to learn that you may practically shop and eat all day long in this city given its wide range of shopping malls, gorgeous cafes, and night markets.
From early in the morning at 4 am to the sunny afternoon and even till midnight, shop till you drop, especially with these 19 must-visit night markets in Bangkok. You can easily get your hands on a ton of (very) affordable clothing, accessories, and Instagram-worthy street food.
Both Westerners and Thai people enjoy night markets because they can buy food and beverages at low prices, and the major night markets in Bangkok are exciting places to shop.
With that being said, let's read on and find out more about the best night markets Bangkok has to offer!

Srinagarindra Train Night Market is a fun marketplace in Bangkok that was once a train track. But of cause, you won’t find any trains passing by this market! What you’ll find at this night market instead are women's clothes, men's clothes, accessories, and even vintage antiques for sale – all at very reasonable prices. And if you ever get hungry, there are so many food options for you too!
Make sure you are familiar with the three sections beforehand so that you won't miss out! These are Market Zone, Warehouse Zone, and Rod's Antiques. The best zones for unique collectibles are the first two. You can view a variety of vintage items, including cameras, vintage automobiles, motorcycles, and even Japanese anime toys.
However, the Market Zone features an amazing selection of current trends like fashionable clothing and stylish accessories. There are a ton of kid-friendly items and souvenirs available too.
PS: Having previously spent time touring this enormous night market, we can tell you that it will take you in spending from one to five hours to see everything that is on offer!

After spending a couple of hours here, the next thing you know, you’ll be carrying five bags while waiting for your ride back home to your hotel.

With the famous Ratchada Train Market closed down, many Bangkok night markets in the area have popped up in its place - one of them being The One Ratchada. The One and Jodd Fairs are now competitors, and one of their greatest compares is that The One has a considerably larger market than Jodd Fairs.
But size doesn’t always matter! There is a ton of street food available, similar to other night markets, though not as much as at Jodd Fairs or even the previous Ratchada Night Market.
Located behind Esplanade Ratchadaphisek, you’ll find rows of clothes and food being sold at numerous stalls in white tents, all located side by side.
For starters, imagine grilled squid from THB 20 a skewer. This is just so affordable and delicious - and more local delights are available! When you return to Bangkok, make your way over to this market's entrance for your chance to get the perfect Instagram photo!

What we love about Asiatique, one of the night markets located by the Chao Phraya River (other than the beautiful river views) is that they have a great selection of Thai knickknacks and crafts, as well as local brands and even well-known stores like Miniso.
Because of its amazing location, it is one of the most scenic markets in the city. The display of chic boutiques and open-air restaurants complements the entire scenery.
You can also find sweets from popular dessert stores like ChaTraMue for its famous Thai milk tea and more. To top it all off, if you're done with shopping and looking for something a little more exciting, you can always opt to watch the Calypso Cabaret Show at night too!

Although not the size of Srinakarin or Chatuchak, if you do want to pick a local night market in Bangkok, then definitely visit Hua Mum Night Market. Craving delicious and affordable Thai food, and looking to get some shopping in? This night market is the place to go, with loads of delicious food waiting for you.

The first thing you'll notice about Liab Duan Night Market is how well-lit it is, thanks to the massive Christmas tree, Transformers robot, and Eiffel Tower sculptures that have been placed around the market. Like most of the markets on the list, but not all of them, you can expect to shop till you drop while savoring the delectable night markets foods on offer.
You'll think that Hua Mum Night Market's environment and selection of stores are identical. But Liab Duan is open every day, yet some store vendors might choose to take a day off on Monday to relax. So if you intend to visit on Monday, do lower your expectations.

Although it’s a night market, the highlight of Chang Chui Plane Market is actually the abandoned plane in the center of the market. One of its highlights is the massive airplane that comes with a restaurant inside! Likewise, the market scene is filled with upscale shops and colorful decorations.

The Street Ratchada Night Market is a great option if you like a more relaxed atmosphere while still having a great time at a night market because big ones can get fairly crowded and noisy.
You may easily go around the night market without feeling overwhelmed because it isn't as large as most night markets. However, if you're just passing by and feel like eating or relaxing outside, you can do it right here – there is a bar too!

Technically, Ong Ang is a night market, however, in comparison to the other markets, Ong Ang is just a walking street. Still, you may also find that, along with searching for some souvenirs and street food, one of the coolest things to do is admire street art.
And go to Little Bhutan, which is in the center of Ong Ang Walking Street, if you want to try eating anything from a less popular cuisine.
Klook Tip: Visiting Khlong Ong Ang Walking Street can easily be combined with a visit to Chinatown.

Khao San Road is not a designated location like the night markets, similar to Chinatown. While Chinatown has a far wider variety of street food, Khao San Road focuses primarily on young Western tourists and has more clothing, flip-flops, sunglasses, and other items that can be found in night markets.
If you enjoy partying, Khao San Road is a great place to sample some street food, shop, and then spend the night at one of the many bars.
