Beautiful scenery. Though the tide was low, we could still do kayaking and snorkeling. Private pool very tempting. Hope to come next time.

We had a wonderful trip at a lovely hotel near the airport that was incredibly family-friendly. The food was also delicious. We would love to stay there again when we visit Koh Samui. The ocean was rocky with high waves, making it difficult to swim.

Fantastic 5.0
The property is very clean and well-maintained, strategically located for easy access to the island's various beaches. The breakfast is excellent, abundant, and varied. Among the aspects that could be improved are the sea in front of the hotel, which isn't the best on the island (though this obviously isn't the property's fault), and some of the sun lounger cushions are stained or torn. This is a small detail that, given the hotel's overall standard, seems out of place and should be addressed. The real highlight is the Prego restaurant: undoubtedly an excellent discovery that alone makes a stay at Amari worthwhile. It offers high-level cuisine with dishes meticulously prepared, excellent cocktails, and a gastronomic proposal that combines quality and creativity. You can feel the passion of Chef Daniele, who is attentive to guests and capable of creating original and unexpected pairings. All of this is set in a well-kept and elegant location, with attentive and professional service. Overall, a very positive experience at Amari that I highly recommend.

We enjoyed 4 nights stay here in a beachfront suite. It was so tranquil - a slice of serenity from the bars/nightlife. Service was fantastic, very friendly and warm. Food was great - many produce sourced locally and you could tell in the quality of the breakfast. Dinner was also great and good value for the excellent quality.

The journey was long. bus took us from krabi to pier, about 3/4 hours on the bus. then we got to the ferry, it was very busy, about a 45 min trip on the ferry to Koh Samui. once there the shuttle took us from the pier to our hotel (on the opposite side of the island so also about 45mins to an hour journey). most of it was all good, shuttle driver for the hotel drop off was a bit intense on the roads

Great service on time pickup and very good service on both the pier. At koh phangan pier in the night it gets a bit chaos after 1/2 pm a lot a people wants to get back but the staff handles it pretty well

Fantastic 5.0
Had a leisurely drive around Koh Samui with our reliable driver, Wat. We gave him a list of sights we wanted to visit and he brought us around to those sights except Na Muang Falls (not his fault, it's dry season and he advised it wasn't worth it since can't swim). We had the van all to ourselves which is nice and didn't feel rushed like in a group tour.

set our own agenda for the day and driver even suggested a great view point for an afternoon drink.

What to know before visiting Ko Samui

Koh Samui at a glance

Koh Samui is a beach-and-activity destination where Tours, Outdoor & sports activities and Water activities lead visitor bookings. Demand has a clear yearly rhythm, with a pronounced busy spell in mid-year and much lighter interest in other months.

Best times to visit and what to expect

Klook booking data shows July as the busiest month and September as the quietest. Prices move differently across the year: they’re typically lowest in July according to Klook data, while November trends as the priciest month. For lower prices and smaller crowds, plan for September or the shoulder months surrounding it; for a lively, peak-season atmosphere choose July. Note that price and demand diverge here — July is busy but also among the cheapest months, while November is relatively expensive despite not being the busiest.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers book quite close to travel: Klook’s aggregated lead-time suggests typical bookings happen about two days ahead, with last-minute options available a day before and slightly earlier planning common in busier periods. If you’re flexible and spontaneous you can often book activities a day or two out; if you’re travelling in peak-season months mentioned above, consider locking key activities a few days earlier to secure your preferred time. Use Klook to compare and reserve tours and water activities when you know your dates.
